'Melo Movie' has finally ranked fourth in the global Top 10 TV (non-English) category in two weeks after its release.

Netflix's original series 'MeloMovie' is a movie-like romance in which young people who want to love and dream find each other, become inspiration, and overcome their trauma. According to the Netflix Tudum TOP 10 website on the 26th, it recorded 3,200,000 viewers in the second week of its release, ranking fourth in the Netflix Global Top 10 TV (non-English) category, and continued to be on the Top 10 list in 27 countries, including Korea.

Released on the 14th, 'Melo Movie' is a reunion romance between '30s who dream of a melodrama life. It tells realistic stories such as dreams and love of young people, family and growth.

Director Oh Choong-hwan said, `It is always nerve-racking and nervous for a work to come out to the world. Many people seem to sympathize with the story of the work, so I'm grateful that "MeloMovie" tells the story of love in many forms. There are stories about family and friends as well as relationships between men and women. It is not dramatic or grandiose, but it is a work that can warm your heart. I hope that the warmth is delivered to you, too," he said, expressing his desire for viewers.

Lee Na-eun also remembers the reactions of those who said they were comforted through their works. That's enough for me." "After watching the last episode, I sent the characters away well, but this time, I also feel lingering for a long time and heartbroken." (For the characters in the play) there will be great and small hardships in life in the future. I just want to say that I'm rooting for you with all my energy," he said, expressing his affection for the characters.

The following is a question-and-answer between director Oh Chung-hwan and writer Lee Na-eun.

-How did you feel about the release of 'MeloMovie' to Netflix viewers around the world?

▶ Director Oh Chung-hwan: It is always nerve-wracking and nerve-wracking for a work to be released into the world. I'm glad that many people seem to sympathize with the story of the work.

Writer Lee Na-eun: It's always a cautious and exciting feeling to present a story to people. I hope this little sincerity can be reached by viewers around the world.

- What is the most memorable viewer response after the release of the work?

▶Director Oh Choong-hwan: Personally, I was also worried about how I would see Ko Joon's character. Fortunately, I was relieved that there were many reactions that sympathized with me. The reactions that sympathized with the family story were memorable, not seeing this work as a romance.

Writer Lee Na-eun: Thankfully, many people were contacted by acquaintances and sent messages through SNS. In particular, the message of those who shared their experiences and said they were comforted through their works is memorable. That's enough for me.

- If you were to choose a famous scene or line from "Melo Movie"?

▶ Director Oh Choong-hwan: In the 10th episode, there is a scene where Mubi, who lived out of hatred for his father who was immersed in movies, realizes the existence of his mother, who has remained silent. The time I've always thought I was alone is actually the moment I realize that it was only two, not alone. As I did, it would be good for you to think that you have such a precious person around you at least once. Even if it's not a grand consolation or advice, just being together seems to be a great help to someone.

Writer Lee Na-eun: "Do you like me even if I tell you my secret? It seems that this is the first moment when the line 'Gokyeom' that looks just as bright as it is 'Cook' comes into my mind. At the end, I like the movie because it is an important line of melodrama drawn by the two while saying the same line. Asked why he wanted to make a melodrama, Yugyeom replied, "I just wanted to tell you the sweetest story. I like the lines of 'Kim Moobi' which are the stories of man's love. In fact, this was a question and answer for myself. I think it's a line that can express all the stories I've told so far in one line. The line of 'Hong Si-jun' saying, "'Because I'm still stuck on the day you abandoned me' was pitiful and sad because it was the moment when his sincerity, which had been acting like a child, came out. Si-jun's time, when work and love stopped, finally passes again from this time on. "From now on, look into your eyes and trust only what the speaker says. The line of 'grandjua' saying, 'You're so cool' is a magical word of Zua that made Si-jun fall in love. If someone tells me this, I think I can't forget that person for the rest of my life, so I remember it for a long time. The line of 'Go-jun' that 'my choice was you, Gyeom' cried a lot when I showed Jun's life that there is also such a life. I was really careful to express the weight that I had not felt yet, but it's a line that Jun said, so it's still eaten up. Finally "Do you know what the completion of love is? Love is already complete in itself. I would like to convey comfort and support by borrowing a line from the video store owner's common sense, "If you had a great love, I'm satisfied with that." This work is a melodrama, but it tells a lot of stories of loss and separation. Instead of thinking that losing love is incomplete, I would like to say that I am satisfied with the love that made me finish and live faithfully in the future moment again.

- What's the point of directing the video and music that adds to the depth of emotion?

▶Director Oh Choong-hwan: 'MeloMovie' deals with everyday space and realistic characters. As a director, while maintaining the result, on the one hand, he had to capture the visually and audibly emotional part. It's contradictory to draw it as a realistic and impressive moment, but I personally thought it was the tone of this work. Video and music also seem to have been approached from this perspective.

- About the subheadings for each episode that quoted the movie's lines?

▶ Author Lee Na-eun: I tried hard to find lines that fit the mood and message of each episode. There were some episodes in which lines were chosen and written from the beginning, but there were some episodes in which I searched for lines after writing. While the first episode was easily found from the beginning with the atmosphere of 'Polaris King', it took quite a long time to set the subtitle of the last meeting. Then, in the previous episode, I remembered the scene where Gyeom and Mubi were watching a black-and-white movie on a white wall together, so I looked for more black-and-white movies. The movie I discovered going back like that was 'Limelight' with Charlie Chaplin's autobiographical story. And I thought the movie's message was going with the ending of 'MeloMovie'. the difficulties of life that come upon everyone. Someone's help, not just a struggle alone. Someone's life that nevertheless cheers for a life that goes on and leaves. Many parts are similar, so I chose the favorite line as the subtitle of the last meeting. Even for the jellyfish, life is beautiful and magnificent.

- What message do you want to convey to the characters in 'MeloMovie'?

▶ Directed by Choong-hwan Oh: The characters in 'MeloMovie' are neither too good nor too tragic. Rather, he seems to have seen people around him often. There are many things that overlap with my appearance. So, rather than plausible support or comfort, I want to be a friend who can silently be with me and listen to me.

Writer Lee Na-eun: After watching the last episode, I let the characters go well, but this time I feel a little different. I wonder if it's lingering on myself for a long time and my heart feels heavy. The characters in the play lived happily ever afterIt's not an ending that ends with ', but an ending that moves forward nonetheless, so I had no choice but to look at the back. Even for Gyeom, the pain of loss may still come suddenly, for Movie, the movie may be a terrible crush, for Si-jun may not be ready to receive love for the time being, and for Zua, the pain of creation may continue. There will be great and small hardships in their lives in the future. But doing your best. And being with you the moment you fall. I just want to say that I'm supporting you with all my might.

- What to watch for those who haven't watched "Melo Movie" yet

▶Director Oh Choong-hwan: 「Melo Movie」 tells the story of love in many forms. There are stories about family and friends as well as relationships. It is not dramatic or grandiose, but it is a work that can warm your heart. I hope that the warmth will be conveyed to the viewers as well.

Writer Lee Na-eun: I hope you follow the characters' eyes naturally. Just as we need enough time to understand someone in our lives, I hope you will approach the characters in the drama slowly with a little time. Then at the end of the day you'll end up with some pretty good friends. I hope it will be a time of comfort and support by talking comfortably with like-minded friends.
