Entertainment service Netflix held an event called 'Next on Netflix 2025 Korea' at 10:30 a.m. on the 4th at Fairmont Ambassador. The event was attended by producers of each content, including Kang Dong-han, VP of Korean content at Netflix, Kim Tae-won, director of Netflix's film division, Yoo Ki-hwan, director of Netflix's nonfiction division, and Bae Jong-byung, senior director of Netflix's series division.
In Korea, the industry continued to say that overall production costs rose as Netflix entered Korea. However, some say that the recognition of domestic works abroad has increased as much as the amount invested.
VP Kang Dong-han said "I've seen many articles about production costs, and many stories are really about meeting producers, meeting studios, and meeting various industries, but production costs are always a hot topic. It can be divided into several elements, such as the size of the ambition of the work or the period for the process that goes into it. I think that it is the soil for making good works only when sufficient production costs are invested in such parts. Outside of that, there is a lot of competition for Korean content, and there are a lot of exceptional people working as actors and staff members who produce a lot of good works. It seems that there are parts that are decided according to competition and market conditions. Our works range from six to ten episodes. The working period of actors is not much different from doing 16 at existing broadcasting stations. Dividing it into rounds may result in the wrong picture. Most importantly, it seems important to put production costs into places where production costs are sufficient, and to manage them responsibly and responsibly with each other, the production company, and the studio."
Netflix is also showing its willingness to offer a different kind of entertainment in 2025 by introducing richer content that will satisfy various tastes of its fans. Can Lee Na-eun, the author of MeloMovie, Kim Won-seok, the director of Ill-hyung, the director of Akkyeon be interpreted as love?Various creators, including Yoo Young-eun from ' and Lee Chang-min from 'Casharo', introduced the work.
