Park Hyung-sik and Heo Jun-ho Face Off in SBS's Revenge Drama 'Buried Hearts'

SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama `Treasure Island' has been unveiled. Director Jin Chang-gyu and actors Park Hyung-sik, Heo Jun-ho, Lee Hae-young and Hong Hwa-yeon attended the production presentation held at SBS in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul on the 21st to talk about the drama.
'Treasure Island' is a life-full betting revenge drama in which Seo Dong-ju (Park Hyung-sik), who hacked 2 trillion won in political slush funds, fights against the absolute evil that tried to kill him. The work, which depicts the dark struggle and desire between characters who want to take over the Daesan group, is drawing expectations, foreshadowing the tense development and intense acting synergy of actors.
Director Jin Chang-gyu introduced "This work depicts a fierce battle between characters who want to win 'treasure' in their respective minds, such as money, power, and love. Please pay attention to how each character's desires and choices are intertwined beyond just the struggle of a chaebol family."
Park Hyung-sik plays Seo Dong-joo, head of the external cooperation team of Daesan Group Chairman's secretariat. He, who has usually played a warm role in the romantic comedy genre, will show a completely different side in this work as a character with a cool-headed ambition.
"I've mainly been in charge of affective characters, but Seo Dong-ju is a person who doesn't hide his human greed," he said. "It was attractive to see him trying to win dreams and love." Viewers will also be able to see a new side of me."
Regarding the reason for choosing this drama, he added, `It is not easy to work with seniors, and I was happy to work with great actors including Heo Jun-ho and Lee Hae-young in this work.'
In particular, he had to perform intense actions and emotional performances, including water torture scenes. In response "All the gods were never light. It was so hard to film that I thought, "I can even do this."Please focus on the appearance of Seo Dong-ju suffering physically and mentally."
Meanwhile, Park Hyung-sik is competing with Seo Kang-joon's drama, which is broadcast at the same time. The two have appeared as brothers in the past in 'What's wrong with the family?' In response, he smiled and expressed his honest feelings, saying, `I support actor Seo Kang-joon, but to be honest, I want our work to be a little better.'
Heo Jun-ho, who plays Yeom Jang-sun, a former head of the National Intelligence Service and a professor of law at the Graduate School of Law, played an intense villain once again in `Treasure Island.' In the play, he is in fierce confrontation with Seo Dong-ju as he manipulates the kingmaker.
Heo Jun-ho decided to appear after seeing 'People rather than works '"I've been associated with the people who are producing this work since "All in" I was moved to find him again after 20 years, and I felt the same way about the relationship before the script.

As for his acting relationship with Park Hyung-sik, I remember coming to LA for a radio interview during the days of `Children of the Empire.' At that time, I thought it must be hard, but this time, I turned up as a man.
In response, Park Hyung-sik said, `I met my senior at the scene, and I got goosebumps as if a cat was standing on top of my hair.' `I could feel the senior's power again. It is an honor to be able to act with an actor with such an aura."
Lee Hae-young plays an intense character who does not hide her desire as the eldest son of Daesan Group. "I read the script after hearing the casting news of Park Hyung-sik and Heo Jun-ho, and I was attracted to the story of wondering where the 2 trillion won was," he said. "I was a fan of Park Hyung-sik, so I wanted to be with him, and I was happy to have the opportunity to work with Heo Jun-ho for a long time in this film."
Newcomer Hong Hwa-yeon won the lead role through a competition ratio of 100 to 1. He added "It's an honor to be with our seniors. I'm more nervous about this place than the audition," he said.
Director Jin Chang-gyu commented on the casting of Hong Hwa-yeon, saying, `The atmosphere of the appearance went well with the tragic and heavy tone of the drama. I confirmed my acting talent when I saw him read the script at the audition", he explained.
