Jeong Geon-ju met with Sports Chosun at the Human Entertainment headquarters in Mapo-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 11th and responded to the end of the interview 'Check-in Hanyang'.
Check-in Hanyang (scripted by Park Hyun-jin and directed by Myung Hyun-woo) is a youth historical drama about the growth of left-handed stones and romance experienced by young people who gathered to achieve their goals against the backdrop of Joseon's largest female pavilion 'Yongcheonru'.
Jeong Geon-ju played the role of Chun Jun-hwa, the son of Taesangju in Yongcheonru. He played a role in changing the atmosphere of the drama by impressively portraying the cool side of the character, who became black because of his love in the second half. In the final episode, he corrected all the past mistakes, gave food to viewers, played various emotions such as sadness and fear as well as laughter, showing the change and growth of the character.
Jeong Geon-ju "I'm having a break for the first time in a long time these days. I was happy to check the reaction of the fans while watching the actual broadcast, but I'm disappointed that the drama is over. He expressed his feeling of leaving the work. In particular, there were reactions that blackened Junhwa was scary, and there were those who said it was rather attractive. I don't look at the reactions of overseas fans in person, but I also laugh when I read comments on Naver Talk."

In "Check-in Hanyang", Cheon Jun-hwa delicately depicts the emotional change by having a crush on Hong Deok-soo (played by Kim Ji-eun). But this time again, Jung Geon-ju, who got the modifier 'One-sided love professional actor', said "I really want to try a two-way romance next time."," he said, expressing his willingness to take on new challenges.
In particular, he picked two confession scenes as the most memorable scenes. "The scene where I confess my feelings to Deok-soo for the first time is most attached to me. It seems to have been deeply conveyed to viewers because it was clumsy but contained pure emotions."
In addition, he is said to have melted his personality as much as possible in the process of playing the character. "Cheon Jun-hwa had a lot of aspects that resembled me 100%. I tried to make the four of them come together with a natural line and way of speaking, he said of the character-building process.

He also expressed his desire to act as a two-way romance. "I think it's going to be fun. I like to challenge myself, so I recently watched Ask the Stars, and Lee Min-ho's character was really attractive. Smooth acting and bilateral romance. I want to try it, too" he said.
He also expressed his affection for 'Hona Four' with Kim Ji-eun, Bae In-hyuk, and Park Jae-chan. "Kim Ji-eun's acting in a male costume was so perfect. Since the test shooting, there has been a feeling that 'This is Hong Deok-soo himself'. Thanks to you, I was able to adapt well," he said, expressing his appreciation.
