Actors Park Jin-young and Roh Jung-ui continue Kang Pul's world view. After 'Moving' and 'Light Shop', Kang Pul's original work will be dramatized once again to continue its popularity.
Channel A's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'Witch' held a production presentation at The St. Grand Ballroom in D-Cube City, Guro, Seoul on the 11th and told the story of the work. Director Kim Tae-kyun, actors Park Jin-young, Roh Jung-ui, Lim Jae-hyuk and Jang Hee-ryeong attended the production presentation, and Park Kyung-rim hosted the event as MC.
Based on Kang Pul's popular webtoon, "Witch" is a mystery romance in which Dong-jin (Park Jin-young), a man who wants to break the law of bad luck surrounding a woman called a witch, and Mi-jeong (Roh Jeong-ui), a woman who became the seed of tragedy and cut herself off from the world, become each other's salvation after a journey that does not give up.
Director Kim Tae-kyun, who showed dense directing power through the movie 「Dark Murder」, will direct and add sensuous interpretation. Director Kim chose Kang's original work because he is a huge fan of Kang. You are breathing with a lot of contact with the public. The worldview he portrays is very similar to the results I pursue. 'Witch' was interested in the work. It goes beyond just the love of two men and women and deals with social problems. It's a masterpiece of storytelling. It attracted me to be the creator. I was able to produce it with a grateful heart."
The difference from the original was "First of all, it was based on respect for the original. It's a work from 10 years ago, but I still feel like I shouldn't miss the valid context. However, it would be nice if the drama filled the gap between the captor and the captor in the webtoon format. So I tried to do plus alpha rather than change."
