At the 30th Critics Choice Awards held in Santa Monica on the 7th (local time), 'Squid Game 2' won the Best Foreign Language Series Award. This is the first award Season 2 received at the global awards ceremony and is an achievement that wipes out the disappointment of being nominated for the Golden Globe last year but failing to win the award.
After competing with Apple TV+ 'Akapulco' and 'Pachinko2', Prime Video 'Citadel: Honey Bunny', Hulu 'La Marquina' and HBO 'My Brilliant Friend' Season 4, etc., they won the trophy. As a result, 'Squid Game' achieved the feat of winning the Best Foreign Language Series Award at the Critics Choice Awards until Season 2 following Season 1.
