Stand-up comedian Danycho visited SBS Power FM (107.7 MHz) '2 Escape Cultu Show' (hereinafter 'Cultu Show') which aired on the 2nd (Sun). Danycho continues to be active by hosting the stand-up comedy show National Tour 'Romantic Comedy'.
Born in Los Angeles, Danycho studied economics at UCLA and worked for a consulting firm, she said she had dreamed of becoming a comedian since college. Danycho, who entered the amateur standing comedy "Open Mike" and finally performed at a comedy club for money, expressed pride, saying, "It's not common to make money on the comedy stage as a college student." Danycho then noted that after paying off all the loans, he began to walk the path of a comedian without looking back.
Danycho drew attention as he said he was the eldest brother of the `Metacomedy Club.' Lee Jae-yul, a colleague of the same company and a special DJ, introduced Dannycho as "the oldest and oldest brother with the longest comedy career". When asked by Kim Tae-kyun, "Why do you do comedy in Korea when the U.S. market is so big?" Danny Cho replied, "When I came to Korea, I saw a stand-up comedy performance in Hongdae, and I was really bad at it. They don't understand the culture of stand-up comedy. That was the mindset of a kkondae," he replied. The team that performed at the time were comedians who are currently working as 'Smiling University'.
Danycho's stand-up comedy show 'Romantic Comedy' is a show about a girlfriend and is open to those aged 19 and over. It said it will visit five cities in Gwangju, Busan, Daegu, Daejeon, and Seoul, while Seoul and Busan sold out immediately after the ticket opened and added an hour of performances. The first national tour 'KOREAN DREAM' in 2023 even held an encore performance, and last year, CGV released a live performance film and crossed the break-even point.
