In season 4 of the MBN entertainment show `Let's Go Go' aired on the 2nd, Kim Yong-im revealed why he opposed his son's marriage and the process of reconciling later.
Kim Yong-im said "My son said he would bring his girlfriend one day. I was 29 years old then. But as soon as we met, he recalled the time, saying, `Mom, I've got a baby.'
At the sudden news, Kim Yong-im shouted at his son "Are you crazy?" He "It's good to be responsible, but it was such a waste. I've been studying abroad, and I'm just having to fly with my wings spread out, but since I'm getting married too early...," he said, expressing his bitter feelings.
Problems occurred during the marriage process, and the mother and child eventually stopped coming and going for nearly two years. Kim Yong-im "I didn't see my son because there were ups and downs when I got married. My daughter-in-law misunderstood me a lot."
Then "I opposed it at first, but when I said I would be my person, I tried to carry it with me. However, the daughter-in-law was pregnant, so everything was disappointed. He said, expressing his complicated feelings at the time.
While bickering with his son, he eventually lost contact completely. He said "My son didn't look at me, and I didn't look at him either. I haven't seen my granddaughter in nearly two years."
In the meantime, the husband intervened. Kim Yong-im said, "'What if my husband doesn't even know your mother's heart?' to his son, and eventually, there was a place to make up."
The moment I finally met my granddaughter for the first time, all the grime melted away. Kim Yong-im "As soon as I saw the child, it was so pretty that it all unraveled. He didn't even cry when he saw me for the first time. I said, "Come here" and he hugged me right away"I recalled a moment when I was overwhelmed.
