According to the weekly chart of the fourth week of February (Feb. 24 to March 2) released by Asia's largest OTT platform Viu on the 5th, MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 「Undercover High School」 ranked second in Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia, respectively. It is also strong in five major Southeast Asian countries, ranking fourth in Singapore and fifth in Hong Kong.
Starring Seo Kang-joon and Jin Ki-joo, Undercover High School is a story about an NIS agent who disguised himself as a high school student to find the missing gold bullion of Emperor Gojong. The fresh combination of spy action and academy material attracts attention, and the experiment of various genres of K-dramas is also seen by global viewers.
In particular, as works set in academy materials such as 'Study Group' and 'Assembled Family' have been popular one after another, expectations are high that 'Undercover High School' will become another masterpiece.
Meanwhile, Viu (View) is a Hong Kong PCCW cross-regional OTT platform that presents popular Korean content in 16 foreign countries, including Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, and is currently airing a drama 'Study Group' and 'Please Take Care of Five Eagle Brothers!', Various K-content launches are also scheduled, including 'Witch' and 'Negotiation Technology'.
