Seo Dong-ju, who lost love and dreams in an instant and was pushed to the edge of the cliff, expressed despair and anger in depth and increased his immersion. In particular, the moments of 'Blood, Sweat, and Tears', which really did their best, from desperate emotional acting to intense action that did not spare themselves, captivated viewers.
In the last broadcast, Seo Dong-ju, who had no choice but to watch her lover Yeo Eun-nam (Hong Hwa-yeon) holding another man's hand and raising the wedding march, was in shock and loss. Betrayed by a man he trusted, he shed tears of frustration as he remembered Eunnam, who left with only one text message. Park Hyung-sik has been tightening the hearts of viewers by portraying in detail the desperate sadness that eventually bursts out while trying to suppress his emotions.
When his life is in danger after being caught in the trap of Yeom Jang-sun (Heo Jun-ho), Seo Dong-ju confronts a mysterious gunman. The opponent was never an easy opponent, and a cutthroat situation ensued in which even a single moment of carelessness was not allowed. His desperate struggle of instinctively throwing himself in and resisting, his harsh breaths and flowing sweat were vividly conveyed over the cathode-ray tube. In particular, Park Hyung-sik raised the extreme tension by himself playing the scene of a violent physical fight and a desperate escape without a stunt.
In addition, the scene of Heo Il-do (Lee Hae-young) being shot and sinking into the deep sea gave a breathtaking tension. The scene of Seo Dong-ju struggling desperately to survive on the border between life and death further doubled his dramatic immersion. Park Hyung-sik completed a realistic scene by directly performing underwater acting without a stand-in. As his sinking image filled the screen, the viewers' hearts became heavy.
Park Hyung-sik rewrote his life character by pouring out everything from his emotional performance to the action of throwing his whole body through 'Treasure Island'. The immersive acting and intense presence convincingly unravels Seo Dong-ju's narrative at the center of the play and is praised as 'Rediscovering Park Hyung-sik'.
As the episodes continue, expectations are high on how far the unlimited acting spectrum that Park Hyung-sik will show in "Treasure Island" will expand.
