At 1 p.m. on the 28th (Korea time), the sound source and track video of Jimin's new report 'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)' were released on various music sites and Hive Label's YouTube channels.
The song was inspired by the Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'. When Jimin created his previous work 'FACE', he happily immersed himself in creation, calling the writers he worked with 'smeraldo or marching band'. Inspired by Jimin's fictional team and the Beatles album, 'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)' was completed.
"Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)" is a song based on the song "Marching Band" played while marching. A hip-hop genre is added to the sound of a big band (a large-scale orchestra), featuring a vibrant bounce, rhythm, and dynamic atmosphere from beginning to end. The cheerful melody makes listeners' shoulders flutter, and the pure lyrics stimulate children's innocence. Jimin's refreshing vocals combine to double the joy of listening. Participating in the fan song 'Closer Than This' released in December last year, 'Yeoneum Boys and Girls Choir' creates a fantastic harmony with Jimin and Loco. The children's voices, which are unadorned and clear, sound like Cupid's whispers, play a big role in saving the lovely feeling of the song.
The lyric theme of the song is 'Confession'. Jimin took a motif from a virtual flower 'Smeraldo' with the flower word 'Untold Truth' and completed a sweet song that confesses and finds love on behalf of those who cannot express their feelings.
The track video unfolds like a musical. The video begins with the introduction of Jimin and producers Pdogg, GHSTLOOP, and EVAN, who banded together as a fictional team 'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band'. The collaboration between Jimin, who turned into a band frontman, and a fellow musician is impressive. In addition, Loco and Jimin's two shots, which featured, show a pleasant energy, making viewers smile.
Then, watching the performance of Jimin, children, and dancers reminds me of the moment when I played in the playground as a child. Jimin gives a touching impression with a large-scale group dance scene that appears in the second half. Dressed in a black suit, he gives pleasant excitement with his charming voice and delightful performance from the beginning to the end of the track video. He completed another all-time performance based on his outstanding expressive ability to digest all concepts in his own color.
Jimin, who announced the departure of 'MUSE' with a pre-released song, will release the entire album on the 19th of next month. Prior to this, concept photos and clips of the 'SERENADE' version will be released on July 7, and a highlight medley that gives a glimpse of the atmosphere of 'MUSE' will be unveiled on July 14.
