Jimin Shines on 'The Tonight Show' with 'Who' Performance

BTS's Jimin has established himself as an irreplaceable performer with his first stage of 'Who.'

On the 23rd (Korean time), Jimin performed the title song of his second solo album, 'MUSE,' on the popular NBC talk show "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." The performance was filmed at a swimming pool in a large, currently closed resort. The setting, maintaining the rough feel unique to an abandoned building, was enhanced by the lighting installed on the walls. Jimin showcased his world-class talent by filling the large space with his energy.

Jimin appeared in a vintage mood outfit, as seen in the music video for 'Who.' Emerging from a dark space alone, he performed a sensual pair choreography with dancers who appeared one by one and transitioned into a colorful group dance with multiple formation changes. His dynamic yet restrained movements, combined with sexy and bold rhythms, were reminiscent of a musical.

The live performance, which felt intensely real, elevated the stage's level of perfection. Jimin expressed his confused feelings of missing someone he had never met with an attractive voice. His mournful facial expressions added to the stage's splendor. Jimin's powerful yet delicate performance was overwhelming in its impact.

Jimmy Fallon introduced 'Who' and shared an episode about his first time hearing the song. He released a video he filmed at the time, saying, "I met Jimin, who was working with Jon Bellion, and heard 'Who' for the first time." In the recording studio video, Fallon appeared to genuinely enjoy the music, clapping excitedly in rhythm with the song.

Meanwhile, Jimin's second solo album 'MUSE,' released on the 19th, is dominating music charts worldwide. The title song 'Who' topped the iTunes chart in 112 countries/regions as of 9 a.m. on the 20th and recorded the highest number of daily streams among K-pop releases this year on Spotify's 'Daily Top Song Global' on the 19th. 'Who' remained in third place on the chart as of the 21st, staying in the "'Top 5' for three consecutive days.

'Who' is expected to continue its popularity with the release of the remix album 'Who (Remixes)' at 1 p.m. on the 23rd. The remix album contains seven tracks, including the original song 'Who,' an instrumental version, and various remixes such as acoustic, rock, Shibuyakei, funky, and beautiful mind versions.
