Jimin's 'Who' Hits No. 14 on Billboard 'Hot 100'

BTS Jimin's new song "Who,"  has ranked 14th on the Billboard 'Hot 100' chart.

On July 30th (Korea time), Billboard, a U.S. music media outlet, announced on their official SNS that Jimin's new song "Who," the title track from his second solo album 'MUSE,' has ranked 14th on the 'Hot 100' chart (August 3rd). This marks Jimin's sixth solo entry on the 'Hot 100'.

Notably, this achievement comes despite the absence of official promotional activities for the album, aside from performance videos on NBC's popular show "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," which were filmed before Jimin's military enlistment. The 'Hot 100' ranking underscores Jimin's remarkable global popularity.

Earlier, Billboard previewed that Jimin's album 'MUSE' debuted at number two on the main album chart, 'Billboard 200,' on August 3rd. This is his second entry on the 'Billboard 200,' following his previous work 'FACE.' This milestone also ties the all-time record for K-pop soloists, alongside albums by BTS members Suga ('D-DAY'), V ('Layover'), and Jungkook ('GOLDEN').

As a solo artist, Jimin first appeared on the 'Hot 100' with "VIBE (feat. Jimin of BTS)" (No. 76) last year. Subsequently, "Set Me Free Pt.2" (No. 30) and "Like Crazy," the title track from his first solo album 'FACE,' also entered the chart. "Like Crazy" notably became the first song by a K-pop soloist to top the 'Hot 100,' making Jimin the first K-pop artist to achieve this feat with both group (BTS) and solo works.

Additionally, Jimin's collaboration for the "Fast and Furious: Ride or Die" OST, "Angel Pt.1 (feat. Jimin of BTS, JVKE & Muni Long / FAST X Soundtrack)" (No. 65), and the pre-release track from 'MUSE,' "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)" (No. 88), also made it onto the 'Hot 100'.

According to Billboard's official SNS, "Who" also dominated other charts, securing top spots on the 'Global 200,' 'Global (excluding the U.S.),' and 'Digital Song Sales.'

"Who" is a hip-hop R&B track that explores the affectionate yet confusing feelings of missing someone you've never met. The song features a sexy and bold beat, combined with Jimin's captivating vocals, making it a favorite for repeated playback. It also ranked No. 1 on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, on the 29th, maintaining the top spot for six consecutive days from the 23rd to the 28th.
