SM Entertainment, in collaboration with Kakao Entertainment's North American division and the British entertainment company MOON&BACK, has unveiled their new British boy group, Dear Alice. The announcement took place at a press conference held at the Soho Hotel in London on August 1st.

The event featured the premiere of the group's performance video and the first part of the six-part TV series "Made in Korea: The K-Pop Experience", which will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer this August. The press conference introduced the group’s name and its five members to the media, including major outlets such as The Press Association, The Sun, and Metro.

Dear Alice comprises five members: Blaise Noon (19), Dexter Greenwood (22), James Sharp (23), Oliver Quinn (20), and Reese Carter (20), with an average age of 21. Each member brings a unique background to the group:

Blaise Noon hails from London and trained in acting, singing, and dance at the BRIT School. Dexter Greenwood, also from London, studied musical theater at the D&B Academy of Performing Arts. James Sharp was a content creator from Huddersfield. Oliver Quinn was a member of a child choir from Sunderland. Reese Carter from Wiltshire has performed on a cruise ship.

During the press conference, Dexter Greenwood praised SM Entertainment for their support and described his experience in Korea as immersive and enriching. He remarked on the generosity and kindness of the Korean people, which made him feel at home.

Reese Carter shared his surprise at the widespread influence of K-Pop in Korea, noting that his previous experiences as a cruise dancer helped him appreciate the industry’s significant infrastructure.

James Sharp, the oldest member, humorously shared that his aunt is a dedicated K-Pop fan who runs a fan page for the group RIIZE, his personal favorite. This revelation brought laughter from the attendees.

The TV series "Made in Korea: The K-Pop Experience" follows Dear Alice as they spend 100 days in Seoul, training with SM Entertainment and evolving into musicians. The series aims to provide British viewers with a closer look at K-Pop and Korean culture.

Dear Alice is set to begin its full-scale activities in August, starting with the series' broadcast on BBC and expanding into the UK and global music markets.
