TWICE's Tzuyu Announces Solo Debut with 'abouTZU'

TWICE's Tzuyu is making her solo debut following Nayeon and Jihyo.

JYP Entertainment released a surprise trailer video for her album on its official SNS channel at 12 a.m. on the 2nd, along with the news of Tzuyu's solo debut. Tzuyu's solo debut album is titled 'abouTZU', a combination of the English words 'about' and 'TZUYU'. Fans will get to see Tzuyu transform from the youngest member of TWICE into a solo artist.

The opening trailer, reminiscent of a movie trailer, showcased Tzuyu's stunning visuals and captivating aesthetics. She depicted a dream-like scenario using surreal props such as several clocks that defied the concept of time, embers spreading in cups of water, piles of paper scattered on the floor, and waves swirling in a frame. The video draws attention with hidden clues in the subtitles: 'I'm a believer, a dreamer. Trust me', and 'Before I give you my all, I will ask one last time. So are you ready?'.

K-pop fans worldwide are eagerly anticipating Tzuyu's solo debut following the successful solo ventures of Nayeon and Jihyo. Information about the mini-album 'abouTZU', which is expected to highlight Tzuyu's artistic evolution, will be released sequentially on TWICE's official SNS channel.

On July 27 and 28, TWICE performed solo as part of their fifth world tour at Nissan Stadium in Kanagawa, Japan. This marked the first time overseas female artists performed solo at this venue, completing a year and three-month-long world tour successfully. The extensive world tour, consisting of 51 performances in 27 regions worldwide, attracted a total audience of 1.5 million, cementing TWICE's status as 'Global Stadium Artists'.
