Lee Jin-ah and Yoon Seok-cheol Trio (Yoon Seok-cheol, Jeong Sang-i, Kim Young-jin) held a '"Good Korea Lounge"Lee Jin Ah & Yun Seok Cheol Trio BLUE Tour" (hereinafter 'Good Korea Lounge') at the Blue YARD in Tokyo, Japan, on the 20th and 21st, and at the Blue YARD in Osaka on the 23rd.
Lee Jin-ah and Yoon Seok-cheol trio entered the world-renowned jazz holy site Tokyo Blue Note through this performance. They reflected on their meaning by performing on a stage where jazz masters such as Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, Chic Korea, and D'Angelo performed earlier.
First, Lee Jin-ah selected 'Candy Pianist' as the opening song and awakened the audience's mind from the beginning with a beautiful tone and melody. Representative songs such as 'Staircase', 'City Lights' and 'Yum Yum Yum' were also performed to meet Lee Jin-ah's warm music world. As it is a performance held in Japan, Lee Jin-ah sang 'Always (いつも何度でも)', the main title of the popular local animation 'Sen and Chihiro's Missing' and received great response from the audience.
Yoon Seok-cheol trio met with the audience with original songs that fully utilized the charm of jazz, which fluctuated freely like waves. Following 'Love Is A Song', '2004 Seoul', 'Dialogue', etc., the Yoon Seok-cheol trio chose the title song 'You and I were watching the same thing' as the ending song. It drew attention by portraying the dream of a relationship between lovers with a calm yet tense melody.
Both Lee Jin-ah and Yoon Seok-cheol trio gave some variations to the setlist composition of the Tokyo and Osaka performances, doubling the joy of listening. In particular, Lee Jin-ah and Yoon Seok-cheol collaborated together on the encore stage through 'Like Someone In Love', one of the jazz standard songs, providing the essence of 'K-Jazz' that combines modern sensibilities with rich jazz melodies.
After the performance, Lee Jin-ah said through her agency, "It was my first performance in Japan, so it was more meaningful and happy. I was happy to meet the local fans and thank you for listening to the musicThe Yoon Seok-cheol trio said "It is both nerve-racking and exciting to have a music conversation with the audience in Taji. The performance in Japan, which has a relatively rich jazz culture, had many meanings. It was such a fun time in the great space and sound," he said.
