Kakao Entertainment is expanding its global K-pop distribution network in earnest and expanding its influence as a global K-pop key player.

Kakao Entertainment announced on the 24th that it has signed a strategic partnership with 易云音, China's leading music streaming platform, to collaborate on K-pop distribution. Through this partnership, Kakao Entertainment plans to introduce new songs by newly released artists to Chinese music fans at Wang Yiyun Music at the same time as Korea, including a library of music of various genres distributed by Kakao Entertainment.

Kakao Entertainment explained that this partnership with Wang Yi-win Music has been a long-term partnership based on the achievements and trust that the two companies have been working together through music services since May. Through this partnership, Kakao Entertainment will be the first in China to introduce new music through Wang Yiyun Music, and the two companies plan to promote various business cooperation in China, including music services and various promotions linked to K-pop.



Wang Yiyun Music is a music streaming platform under the Wang Yi (易, NetEase) Group, one of China's leading IT companies, and is creating a new music consumption trend amid the popularity of the Chinese MZ generation with unique services and advanced personalized music recommendation systems. By combining Kakao Entertainment's wide-ranging genre of K-pop music library with trendy K-pop marketing capabilities, Wang Yi-win Music's music streaming service competitiveness and local marketing promotion know-how, K-pop will provide new enjoyment to more Chinese music fans. In particular, it is expected that K-pop music and artists will be able to get closer to Chinese music fans based on Wang Yiwin Music's service, which values communication and interaction with music listeners.
