ILLIT's 'Magnetic' Breaks Records on Spotify, Gains Global Recognition

Group ILLIT added another meaningful record on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform.

According to the agency, 
BELIFT LABILLIT's first mini album 'SUPER REAL ME'MAGNETIC' was played on Spotify 5358,971 times as of the 25th. It has been 275 days since the song was released on March 25. This is the shortest K-pop group debut song ever to reach the same number of streams on Spotify.

Earlier, 'Magnetic' was the first K-pop debut song to enter the U.S. Billboard 'Hot 100' and the U.K. 'Official Single Top 100' to announce the birth of 'Super Rookie'. Since then, it has been steadily checking popularity indicators on various charts, including one of the most streamed K-pop songs released by Spotify in the first half of the year.




In fact, the song was also included in Billboard's 2024 year-end settlement chart. The song ranked 61st on Billboard's annual "Global 200", "Global (excluding the U.S.)", and "Top Song of 2024: Global"25th on Apple Music, which is the highest ranking among K-pop group songs ranked on each chart.

In addition, even before their official debut in Japan, 
ILLIT is gaining explosive popularity locally. ILLIT ranked 15th, the highest among overseas artist songs, on Billboard Japan 'Hot 100' with 'Magnetic', and was the only K-pop song to enter 'Top Shorts' in the annual rankings released by Japan's YouTube. Furthermore, the song was the only K-pop song on TikTok 'Year on TikTok' to be ranked third in Japan and on the list of winners of Japan 'Line Music Trend Awards 2024'.

ILLIT is accepting end-of-year stages and award ceremonies at home and abroad thanks to the global popularity of 'Magnetic'. They will announce TV Asahi 'Music Station' on the 27th and NTV ' on the 28th! The most heard songs of the year ~"The annual Music Awards 2024~';"The Grand Prize for Japanese Records" on the 30th; "The Red and White Song Contest" on the 31st; and "The 39th Golden Disc Awards" on January 4, 2025.
