GFRIEND Marks 10th Anniversary with Unwavering Charm and New Projects

Debuting on January 16, 2015, they built their own concept of 'Power Innocence' with their innocent charm and powerful sword dance, and loved both the fandom and the public with their passionate and sentimental music. Their mega-hit songs such as 'Glass Bead', 'From Today We Are (Me Gustas Tu)', 'Rough' and 'MAGO' embroider a page in many people's memories.
GF came back to her fans in January 2025 with her unchanged mind, unchanged music 'Running Through Time'. The six members have joined hands with Source Music, which has shared the team's beginning and growth, and are engaged in a variety of activities, including the release of a special album 'Season of Memories', music broadcasts and awards appearances, solo concerts, and tours of five Asian cities. On the 10th anniversary of her debut, GFRIEND delivered a question-and-answer message with gratitude and excitement through Source Music.
- How do you feel about our 10th anniversary
▶GFRIEND: When we were rookies, will there be a moment when we celebrate our 10th anniversary like our seniors?I thought vaguely '. It's refreshing to hear that your girlfriend has already been 10 years. Even now, I'm still excited when I'm on stage. I'm happy to be a group loved by many people for a long time. I am grateful to celebrate this meaningful time of our 10th anniversary with special albums and various projects.
- Why are we back together to celebrate our 10th anniversary
▶GFRIEND: Whenever I met with the members, I naturally talked about the 10th anniversary and I was confident that we would get together again someday. I especially wanted to celebrate the 10th anniversary. It was possible because the six of us had a strong will and trusted each other. I'm proud of the members who realized the 10th anniversary project and the concert that I vaguely imagined.
- How do you feel about recording as a whole group
▶Yuju: On the day we recorded the title song, the producer we were working with said "I'm truly happy" while recording my voice. And "My voice is the same, but my emotions have maturedI remember that you complimented me ". Thank you for helping me express how the members feel rather than doing detailed directing like before.
SinB: It was fun and comfortable because I recorded with the producers who worked with me for a long time. When I heard the finished song, I felt, "Our members are still the same." (laughs)
Umji: Before we were assigned the parts, SinB told us a line that suits the members. I remember it was amazing because it was almost the same as the actual distributed part. I think it was possible because I worked with writers who knew my girlfriend well.
- Behind the scenes of the performance of the new song "Skal Dance"
▶Sowon: It goes without saying that the choreography was good because we had time together! Six members practiced by being considerate and helping each other.
Yerin: At the end of the year and on January 1st, we practiced together in Japan to attend an award ceremony. When I got it wrong while practicing, I coolly acknowledged each other's mistakes and focused on getting it together.
Eunha: It's been a while since the six of us learned a new choreography, so it was fun. The members complimented me for memorizing the dance quickly. (laughs)
- The most memorable moment while promoting as GFRIEND
▶Wish: I remember the day we won the first place with 'Rough'. It's something I've always dreamed of, but I was more moved because I never thought it would actually happen. BUDDY who shed tears with us.The fandom name) is still haunting.
Yerin: I'm the same as Sowon. I was the MC of a music show that day, but he didn't tell me who won first place. I remember crying my eyes out the moment my girlfriend was called number one.
Eunha: I can't forget the emotion of the first concert. The concert hall filled with Buddy's light sticks and the voices of the fans still remain vivid.
Yuju: There are countless, but I want to remember the present rather than the past. I'll choose the week I spent with Buddy with 'Season of Memories' on music shows!
SinB: Every moment is memorable, but if I had to pick one, it was the first time I attended an award ceremony. I remember being really nervous because it was my first time performing in front of such a large audience
Umji: I remember the schedule and the performance, but I remembered more about the small daily life of watching a movie or talking in our pajamas.

▶Sowon: I still can't see my debut stage very well. (Laughs) Compared to then, I think my talents and facial expressions on stage have improved and become more natural.
Yerin: I think all the members' voices have deepened and grown. Now everyone has their own color, and when practicing this new song, I was impressed by how they tried to blend in well as a team rather than showing their individuality. Maybe that's why the six voices still feel good after all this time.
Eunha: I think your overall skills have improved. Sometimes, when I listen to songs from the beginning of my debut, there are a lot of things that I'm sad about. But there are still some points. I'm still nervous when there's an important performance. It's the same even if it's our 10th anniversary. (laughs)
Yu-ju: As I feel and learn new emotions through various experiences, I think the range of expressions has naturally expanded. Also, there are a lot of things that I want to do, so I practice and prepare voluntarily. The unchanged part is that we always value the basics.
SinB: I think my attitude toward work has grown. It's become more subjective than before. What I am sticking to then and now is to always watch and study practice videos so that they do not fall from the standard set by themselves.
Umji: I think we got to know how to be considerate of each other. Still, it's cute and fun to have a buzzy high school girl moment when a funny story starts. (laughs)
- What's your favorite GFRIEND song and why
▶Wish: 'Rough' is a song that contains a lot of meaning and memories and is nostalgic of those days.
Yerin: 'Glass Bead', I think this song gave us the identity of the team.
Eunha: "'Time for the moon night', I remember recording the intro very hard. It's a song that's been loved enough to go back on the charts.
Yuju: 'Glass Bead', if you define your girlfriend in advance, I think it will be the chorus of this song.
SinB: "'Rough', I like every single song without missing it, but it's my first No. 1 song, so I'm a little more affectionate.
Umji: 'White (White Heart)', 'Neverland', 'On such a day (Someday)', the songs in the early albums of our debut are very affectionate.
- What kind of group do you want to be remembered by fans and the public
▶Sowon: I want to be remembered as a group that always works hard.
Yerin: I want to be a person who was with us back then and is still with us now.
Eunha: I want to be a group that always gives you good music.
Yuju: I want to be remembered like a young man who shines without fading. And whenever I turn my head, I want to remain a friend-like group that makes me feel comfortable like I'm next to you.
SinB: I want to be remembered as a group that reminds me of the nostalgia of that time, which was full of good energy.
Umji: I hope we can be a group with resonant songs and performances.
