NewJeans Dominates K-pop with Record Sales and Global Success Amidst Controversies

Group NewJeans proved its popularity despite numerous controversies.

For the second consecutive year, Newzins posted the highest album sales among K-pop female artists, and successfully completed its official debut in Japan, confirming its global popularity.

NewJeans sold a total of 3,098,275 copies last year. This is the No. 1 sales share among K-pop female artists (11.4%; based on Circle Chart 2024 album sales review). NewJeans claims that his exclusive contract with Adore was terminated as of November 29 last year. The last official schedule they promised with Ador was the Golden Disc Awards held in Fukuoka, Japan. The members declared their independent activities, but Adore filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract.
