Kim Soo-chul said at a listening session for the new report 『Odisei" held at Rolling Hall in Mapo, Seoul on the 17th, "'Yoon Do-hyun was slightly sick, but he is cured, so it is more meaningful.' 'Yoon Do-hyun's live music, YB's live performance, makes me happy.'
Consisting of vocalist Yoon Do-hyun (guitar, keyboard, harmonica), bass Park Tae-hee, drum Kim Jin-won, and guitarist and music director Heo Jun, YB was formed in 1996 and has been greatly loved as a representative Korean rock band through its signature songs 'Baekwhale', 'I must have loved Butterfly', 'I'll forget', 'Baekha Candy', and 'Send You' and 'LoveToo'.
On the 26th, the new report 'Odisei' will be released and the 30th anniversary of its debut will be celebrated splendidly. The album 'Odisei' contains a message in which the protagonist, who suffered from external oppression and internal conflict, discovers his inner strength and hope, finds himself and begins his journey to freedom. It is about staying in pain and confusion in the beginning, but gradually rediscovering oneself and finally gaining true freedom by crossing the boundary between reality and fantasy.
The title song 'Orchid' depicts a message of losing oneself in pain and feeling skeptical about human life. Music critic Im Jin-ho, who hosted the listening session on this day, said "Is it really what YB did?" It's not going to be easy to follow the metal," said bass Park Tae-hee, while "(Yoon) Do-hyun seriously told our members. To be honest, thank you for asking me to do the dream music I was sleeping with before it was too late" he replied.
Singer Kim Soo-chul then appeared to celebrate YB's 30th anniversary album. Kim Soo-chul, who welcomed the members with a warm hug, said, `I heard a song two weeks ago. Do-hyun said he'd do it, so he beat his schedule. It's a band that's precious and I really love. I'm originally a fan of YB. While listening to this music, I thought 'In our old genre, I came to my hometown' I think the performance would have been a bit difficult," he said with a smile.
Yoon replied to Kim Soo-chul, who is considered to have opened the early metal music market, saying, `I'm a huge fan and I'm still listening well.' Kim Soo-chul is sometimes spilled in lyrics just because it is "rock", and the delivery of the lyrics is accurate and cool. Both Yoon Do-hyun's voice and now's voice are powerful. I think it's a more meaningful album because I got sick a few years ago and got completely cured. I feel better. I'm happy because Yoon Do-hyun's live music and YB's live performance..."
YB will release the pre-release song 'Reblion' on the 5th, and release the entire new song 'Odisei' at 6 p.m. on the 26th.
