The Global Street Fashion and Culture Festival 'ComplexCon' will hold 'ComplexCon Hong Kong' at the Asia World Expo Hong Kong on March 21-23. This is the second event to be held outside North America after last year. In particular, it will attract fans' attention, including NJZ (former Newzins), in the lineup of artists for the concert series 'Complex Live' at the Hong Kong Festival.
This complexcon is the first activity by NJZ to change the group name, which has received a lot of attention, and proceed. NZ is the most influential girl group in the music industry, consisting of five members: Minji, Hani, Daniel, Harin, and Hyein. During his time as a Newzins, he emerged like a comet in the K-pop market and established himself as the most influential and innovative group for Generation Z, creating a lot of sensation with his style and sound that broke the boundaries of the genre from the chart dominance.
In particular, Newzins' debut album 'NWJNS' became the most-streamed girl group album in Melon history, the country's largest music platform, with more than 555.2 million streams, and its debut single also topped 600 million streams on Spotify.
On top of that, she became the first K-pop girl group to win the Group of the Year '2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards' and won the Top Global K-Pop Artist '2023 Billboard Music Awards'. In addition, the '2023 Mama Awards' and the 'Melon Music Awards' also swept the 'Artist of the Year Awards', creating a New Jeans syndrome.
Bonnie Chan Woo, owner and CEO of Complex China, wrote, "We are very happy to have NZ on this year's ComplexCon Hong Kong stage" Since its debut, NZ has made a splash in the K-pop market, captivating fans' eyes and ears with its unique Y2K sound and nostalgic retro style. NZ has redefined the meaning of a global girl group and has given off fresh and unique energy. This stage will play an important role in opening a new chapter as an artist, and we are honored to share the iconic debut stage of our new career as an NJZ. ComplexCon Hong Kong is a major platform for innovative stars from all over the world to showcase their talents. Based on NJZ's unrivaled presence along with other domestic and foreign artists, the festival will also mark a milestone in the history of Complex China in terms of scale. I want to give fans a great experience to enjoy the "2025 Complex Con Hong Kong" as soon as possible."
NJZ member Minji said, "I'm very excited to be on stage for the first time as NJZ and show you a new side of me." and "This stage is a very important moment, and I'm looking forward to performing new music that I've wanted to show you with my fans all over the world."
