The world's representative K-pop chart 'Circle Chart (formerly Gaon Chart)' operated by the Korea Music Contents Association has released total album sales and export volume data for 2024.

The total album sales in 2024 released this time is officially the total album data compiled by Circle Chart, which is the result of summing up the monthly sales last year (January-December).

According to Circle Chart, total album sales in 2024 were 98.37 million, down 17.4% from 119.8 million in 2023.

On the other hand, album exports rose 2.1% from last year to 16.43 million, and overseas exports accounted for 16.7% of total album sales. This is a slight increase from 13.5% in 2023, and it is analyzed that the decline in domestic sales had a major impact on the overall decline.

When comparing album sales in the first and second half of 2023-2024, album sales in the first half (January-June) decreased by about 7.6 million compared to last year, and in the second half (July-December), 13.1 million copies decreased, showing a greater decline in the second half.
