Song was rushed to the emergency room of Seoul National University Hospital after complaining of pain in the early morning of the 7th, but died. The cause of death was known to be a heart attack.
The deceased had a chronic disease. Although he was not in good condition enough to have undergone surgery three times, he reportedly managed with his passion for the stage and burned his will to work.
The funeral home of the deceased will be set up at the Seoul National University Hospital.
Song Dae-gwan made his debut in 1967 with 'A compassionate old man', and gained popularity in 1975 with 'Sunset Day'. Later, he released hits such as 'Four Beat'Ingigga'Chapyo Hanjang' and was called the trot king along with Tae Jin-ah, Hyun-cheol, and Seol Woon-do.
