Former HYBE Key Figures Preparing New K-Pop Boy Group with RETOPIA SALON

RETOPIA SALON announced on the 4th that Chief Creative Officer Kim Soo-rin and Chief Operating Officer Park Joon-soo, led by Bang Woo-jung, CEO of Hive, will join forces to establish a company and introduce a new boy group.

Retopia Salon is an entertainment company that encompasses artist management and content production, and currently produces BTS Jin's YouTube entertainment content 'Run Seokjin'. As a collection of content experts differentiated from existing entertainment companies, it is expected to bring new innovation to the K-pop market.
CEO Bang Woo-jung said, `Letopia Salon wants to create an experience that does not exist in the world with vital content. As the first project, we will introduce a boy group that will lead the K-pop market, and we will start a large-scale global audition in March and begin to form a full-fledged team."
CEO Bang Woo-jung, who joined Big Hit Entertainment in 2010, is a former Hive Media Studio creative studio leader who served at Hive until September last year and oversaw the production of various contents by major Hive Music Group artists. In particular, he is the person who led fan communication using social media and digital platforms, one of the success factors of BTS, and is also the creator of the planned self-produced content, so-called 'Jacon', which is currently considered the basic grammar of K-pop idols. His representative works include 'Run BTS' and 'In the Forest', and these works were recognized for their quality to be aired on broadcasting stations such as Mnet and JTBC.
CCO Kim Soo-rin is a former vice president of Hive Label's Japan VP (Vice President), and since joining Big Hit Entertainment in 2011, she has led fan content such as BTS, Tomorrow X Together, and ENHYPEN. He was in charge of visual directing of the artist's fan meeting, season greeting, and photo book, and is considered to have expanded his fan experience by planning an event commemorating BTS's debut day 'FESTA'. After moving to a Japanese corporation, he was in charge of casting and branding local trainees.
COO Park Jun-soo is famous for directing all BTS entertainment, reality, documentaries, and movies, including 'Run BTS', 'Bon Voyage', and 'Burn the Stage'. Seventeen 'In the Forest' and 'In the Forest: Friendship Travel' and 'Backstage: TOMORROW X TOGETHER x ENHYPEN Documentary' featuring Park Seo-joon, Pickboy, Choi Woo-sik, Park Hyung-sik, and BTS V.
Meanwhile, Letopia Salon will hold a global audition next month, and details will be announced later.
