The South Korean fencing team won the 2024 Asian Fencing Championship in Kuwait City, Kuwait.
South Korea won a silver medal in the men's foil team event and a bronze medal in the women's sabre team event on the 28th (Korea time), ranking first overall and achieving a remarkable finish.
The men's foil team consisting of Ha Tae-kyu (Chungnam Sports Council), Lim Chul-woo, Lee Kwang-hyun and Yoon Jung-hyun (Hwaseong City Hall) advanced to the final by beating world No. 1 Japan 45-41 in the semifinals and then lost to world No. 5 China 36-45 in the final to win a silver medal.
