Jeonbuk won 2-0 at home against Ulsan in the 24th round of the 'Hana Bank K League 1 2024' held at Jeonju World Cup Stadium on the 20th.
With this, Jeonbuk scored five wins, eight draws and 11 losses (23 points), beating Daegu in multiple points and moving up to 10th place.
On the other hand, Ulsan (42 points) failed to chase the leader Kim Cheon-sang (43 points) while failing to try to win consecutive games.
It was the 115th time in history that the rainy front accompanied by heavy rain briefly moved northward.
Regardless of the weight of the derby, they were two teams who shouted for extreme reasons.
Ulsan has won two consecutive games (including the quarterfinals at the Korea Cup) under acting coach Lee Kyung-soo since sending former coach Hong Myung-bo as national team coach.
As Gimcheon lost the lead by a close margin, it would be the icing on the cake if it regained the lead by utilizing the momentum of consecutive wins.
Jeonbuk had to start a breakaway from the bottom as it narrowly pushed out the lowest-ranked match in multiple points.

Ulsan put Kim Ki-hee and Cho Hyun-woo (GK) as starters and put Yago, who was recruited from Gangwon, on the bench by Um Won-sang, Kang Yoon-gu, Ataru, Boyanich, and Ko Seung-point, Yoon Il-rok, Lee Myung-jae.
The two teams have been fighting for a while. The first half ended without creating a decisive scene.
In the second half, both sides actively used replacement cards and began to fire in earnest. Amid the fierce battle between the two sides, Jeonbuk took the lead more. Jeonbuk threatened Ulsan's door with active attacks on both sides. Has it been a while since the home fans were struggling because they were blocked by Ulsan GK Cho Hyun-woo's good defense. It finally paid off in the 33rd minute of the second half. In the 16th minute of the second half, Andrigo, who was replaced, crossed after penetrating into the space behind the side that was superbly raised, and Thiago turned the ball with a diving header and shook the net.
Ulsan belatedly fought back, but Joo Min-kyu's decisive shot turned away from the goalpost.
In the end, Jeonbuk added Andrigo's net goal just before the end, giving home fans a good victory for the first time in a long time. Jeonbuk won its first victory against Ulsan this season after two draws and two losses (including two matches in the quarterfinals of the Asian Champions League).
