In the home game against Samsung held at Jamsil on the 31st, LG won 11-5 with Son Joo-young's good pitching of one run in six innings and Oh Ji-hwan's two-run shot.
LG, which had 54 wins, 2 draws, and 44 losses, widened the gap with Samsung, which had 52 wins, 2 draws, and 48 losses, to three games, chasing the No. 1 KIA Tigers.
The first contributor to the victory was starting Son Joo-young. He won his eighth game of the season by tying Samsung's batters with a quality start of four hits, no four outs, seven strikeouts and one run until the sixth inning. The batting line also eased the game by leading by scoring three points from the first inning against Lee Seung-hyun, who was LG Killer.
LG changed its table setter that day. Shin Min-jae, who had been in the lower lineup, was placed in No. 2 and paired with Hong Chang-ki. The starting lineup consists of Hong Chang-ki (right wing), Shin Min-jae (second baseman), Austin (designated hitter), Moon Bo-kyung (third baseman), Kim Hyun-soo (left wing), Oh Ji-hwan (striker), Park Dong-won (catcher), Park Hae-min (center fielder), and Kim Bum-seok (first baseman).
Samsung consisted of Kim Ji-chan (center fielder), Kim Heon-gon (left wing), Lee Jae-hyun (striker), Kang Min-ho (designated hitter), Kim Young-woong (third baseman), Lee Sung-kyu (first baseman), Ryu Ji-hyuk (second baseman), Kim Do-hwan (catcher), and Kim Hyun-jun (right wing). Kim Dong-yeop, who played as the designated hitter the previous day, was excluded from the first-tier entry and catcher Kim Min-soo was registered. As Kang Min-ho became the designated hitter, there was only a change in the fact that Kim Dong-yeop was out and Kim Do-hwan was out as the catcher, but the hitters who made the 7-1 victory the previous day came forward and met with Son Joo-young.

After Shin Min-jae's left-handed hit reached base after one out, Lee Seung-hyun's check ball fell back and became a runner with one out, and the opportunity to score came. Austin walked to first and second bases, and Moon Bo-kyung hit a right-handed hit at the first pitch to score the first run. With one out and runners on the first and third bases, Kim Hyun-soo hit a sacrifice fly to center field to make it 2-0. Lee Seung-hyun's wild pitch made it 2-0, and Oh Ji-hwan immediately hit a right-handed hit to make it 3-0.
In the bottom of the second inning, Hong Chang-ki's walk and Shin Min-jae's right-handed hit made the first and third bases, and Austin's hit added one more run.
Samsung, which was blocked perfectly until the third inning, created an opportunity to change the flow in the top of the fourth inning. The lead, Kim Ji-chan and Kim Heon-gon, made first and second bases with no outs with consecutive hits. Lee Jae-hyun was caught on a shortstop foul fly, but Kang Min-ho, who was strong against Son Joo-young with three hits in six at-bats in the previous two showdowns, hit a hit in left-center to score a counterattack. However, Kim Young-woong and Lee Sung-kyu, who hit home runs the previous day, struck out side by side and failed to score additional points, and this scene became the deciding part of the game.
LG effectively decided the game with a home run in the bottom of the fifth inning. After getting on base with a walk in the lead Moonbo game, Oh Ji-hwan hit a run shot over the right fence after one out. He made a home run by properly kicking a low curveball of 113 kilometers from the 1B pitch. The score was 6-1, and the mood completely flowed to LG. Lee Seung-hyun, who had two wins, no losses, and an ERA of 0.00 in two previous games against LG, collapsed with seven hits (one home run) and four walks and six runs in four ⅓ innings on the day, becoming a losing pitcher.
LG then continued to hit and score against Samsung's bullpen to spread to 11-1.
Kang Min-ho hit a home run in three consecutive games with a solo shot in the top of the ninth inning. He hit 11 home runs in July. Kim Min-soo, who came up to the first division, then hit a three-run shot over the right fence with one out and runners on the first and third bases to give cool gifts to fans who remained in the stands on the third base.

Oh Ji-hwan's coming down to No. 6 also worked. He shot three hits in five at-bats and scored a decisive wedge two-run shot to earn four RBIs.
Austin went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored, Moon Bo-kyung went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored, and Kim Hyun-soo also went 1 for 4 with 2 RBIs.
Samsung was completely defeated as starter Lee Seung-hyun collapsed and the batters failed to target Son Joo-young.
