Kim Ha-sung started as the seventh shortstop in an away game against the Texas Rangers at Globeleigh Field in Arlington, Texas, on the 3rd (Korea time) and had no hits in three times at bat. San Diego was completely defeated 0-7, struggling with two hits behind Texas ace Nathan Ivaldi's good pitching.
Kim Ha-sung increased his hitting sense by hitting in nine consecutive games from the Milwaukee Brewers on June 22 to the Boston Red Sox on the 1st, but he failed to make a hit on the day due to the powerful pitches of opposing pitchers such as Ivaldi.
As a result, Kim Ha-sung's batting average fell to 0.226 (66 hits in 292 at-bats) and OPS to 0.717. Ten home runs, 38 RBIs, 45 points and 47 points were maintained, and one stolen base was added on the day to record 16 for the season.
Kim Ha-sung hit a hit in his first at-bat, but was blocked by the opponent's defense.
He hit a strong line drive toward third base in his first at-bat in the top of the third inning, trailing 0-3, but he was out at first base because of his luck. At the ball count of 3B1S, he pulled Ivaldi's 5th 94.3 mile fastball and hit a fastball with a speed of 106 miles (171km), but it fell sideways after hitting third baseman Jonathan Onelas' glove, and shortstop Josh Smith quickly caught it and threw it to first base.
Kim Ha-sung passed through the first base with a safe gesture, but he was out by a hairline even with the naked eye. The San Diego bench did not apply for the challenge.
Trailing 0-6, he struck out three pitches in his second at-bat in the fifth inning. Flipped his bat on an 88.5 mile splitter flowing outside of Ivaldi at Tustrike. It was a fastball that was hard to guess.
Kim Ha-sung also failed to make a hit in the third at-bat in the eighth inning, when the game was 0-7. Lead Donovan Solano made a right-handed hit from the changed pitcher Jonathan Hernandez to provide an opportunity. Jackson Merrill then struck out swinging, one out and one out. Kim Ha-sung pulled Hernandez's 6th pitch outside 87.3 miles slider with a ball count of 2B2S, but the front runner was out at second base as it slowly flowed toward the shortstop.
Kim Ha-sung stole second base in the next batter Kyle Higashioka at-bat, but Higashioka stepped down with an infield fly ball and the inning ended.

In the second inning, Leody Taveras hit a mid-wall double in a chance made by the lead Jonah Heim's double, and in the third inning, Law pushed a 96.5-mile fastball into the middle of Siz's body and hit a two-run shot over the left fence to widen the gap to 5-0. In the fourth inning, Marcus Simien's left-handed hit with one out and third base made him run 6-0.
In three ⅔ innings, Siz allowed eight hits, two walks, including two homers, and allowed six runs. With seven losses (7 wins) in the season, the ERA soared to 4.24.
Texas starter Ivaldi, on the other hand, completely blocked seven innings with one hit and six strikeouts, securing his fifth win (three losses) of the season. The ERA was lowered to 3.15.
San Diego, which lost its second straight game after five consecutive wins, maintained its second place in the National League West with 46 wins and 43 losses, but the wild card fell to third place. The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-4 on the same day to move to second place.
