KIA beat Hanwha 8-7 at Hanwha Life Eagles Park in Daejeon on the 21st. KIA, which was leading 5-0, lost the game as it failed to score a comeback point after giving up a come-from-behind three-run shot to Hanwha Kim In-hwan in the bottom of the sixth inning when it was chased 4-5, but Choi Hyung-woo fired a superior three-run shot in the top of the ninth inning to regain the lead and eventually ended the game with victory. KIA, which defeated Hanwha in a row on the 19th and 20th, succeeded in sweeping three consecutive games on the weekend with the victory, and the winning streak increased to the sixth game. The season record was 57 wins, two draws and 35 losses. Hanwha seemed to have succeeded in escaping the losing streak with Kim In-hwan's come-from-behind three-run shot, while starter Ryan Weiss pitched hard with three earned runs in six innings, but the trusted closing main phenomenon collapsed and shook his head. Hanwha, which has lost seven consecutive games, has 38 wins, two draws and 53 losses in the season.
With 12,000 tickets sold out within four minutes of the game, Hanwha matched the record of the most home sales (36 times) in a single KBO league season set by the Samsung Lions in 1995.
KIA widened the gap with ease from the beginning.

Hanwha even had a chance to turn around as Choi Jae-hoon and Kim In-hwan drew consecutive walks, but KIA kept the lead as Kim Dae-yu took the mound and handled Hwang Young-mook with a fly ball.
