The Korea Sports Association held a meeting of advisors made up of sports elders and discussed current issues in the sports community.

On the 15th, the Korean Sports Council held the 4th Korea Sports Council Advisory Meeting at the Olympic Parktel in Songpa-gu, Seoul, and discussed pending issues such as the preparation for the Paris Olympics, the establishment of the National Sports Council, and the revision of the articles of association.

At this meeting, an in-depth discussion was held on the reasons and countermeasures for the decline in performance due to the reduction in the size of the athletes participating in the Paris Olympics. Advisers to the Korea Sports Association expressed the need for normalization of school sports and financial stability of local sports associations to solve the problem, and emphasized the need to improve policies such as the minimum education system and the number of days allowed for attendance recognition to suit the field situation so that student athletes can study and exercise at the same time.

In addition to seeking ways to expand state funding to stabilize the local sports association's finances, the Korea Sports Association reached a consensus on the revision of the articles of association, which requested approval from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism after the resolution through the board of directors and the general meeting of representatives. Senior sports leaders agreed to recognize and actively promote the establishment of the National Sports Commission, a new governance that integrates sports affairs scattered across 15 ministries, to fundamentally change sports policies and improve administrative efficiency.

In response, the Korean Sports Association decided to create a place for communication between government and sports officials, including the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to solve the issues faced by the sports community.
