Korean MMA national team players returned with valuable medals.

MMA national athletes from the Korean MMA Federation won two silver medals and one bronze medal at the 2nd Asian MMA Championships held at Phnom Penh National Olympic Stadium in Cambodia from the 11th to the 13th.

The Asian MMA Championships are hosted by the Asian MMA Federation (Chairman Gordon Tang, hereinafter referred to as AMMA), a member of the OCA (Asian Olympic Council). This year, the Cambodian MMA Federation was organized, and the second competition was held after last year.

The players who participated in this competition are Park Seo-young (54kg of women's traditional), Lee Bo-mi (54kg of women's modern), and Kim Ha-jin (72kg of men's traditional), who were selected as Korea's MMA national team through the national team selection match last year. Coach Kim Geum-cheon led the team and played the game schedule from the 11th to the 13th.

In Korea's national team, all the participants succeeded in medal hunting. Park Seo-young and Lee Bo-mi won silver medals and Kim Ha-jin won bronze medals.

Coach Kim Geum-cheon, who led the team, said "Korean players did their best to achieve valuable results even on a tight schedule. It is regrettable, but I think the young players had a good experience. Thank you to the players who played hard. I will make up for the shortcomings that I felt through this competition through training so that I can achieve better results in next year's competition."

Meanwhile, referee Yang Seo-woo won the top referee award, which is given to the best referee among all judges who participated in the Asian MMA Championships.

Judge Yang Seo-woo said, "I am happy to receive the glorious award at the MMA International Competition. Just as I won the award as a representative, referees Kim Sung-tae, Jeon Sung-won, and Seo Hye-rin, who participated in this competition, were also faithful to their roles to the extent that it would not be strange for anyone to win the best referee award. I will continue to do my best in any competition with pride as an international judge of the Republic of Korea," he said in his acceptance speech.
