The shooting team, which is leading the Taegeuk Warriors medal race early in the 2024 Paris Olympics, is gaining momentum. In the men's 10-meter air rifle preliminaries, Choi Sang (Gyeongnam University) won the final ticket in fifth place. He shot 630.8 points in the preliminary round of the tournament held at Chatoru Shooting Range in France on the 28th (Korea time) to secure the final qualification given to the top eight.
Choi, who started shooting in Gwangju Weightlifting, ranked first in the Jakarta Asian Rifle-Pistolary Championship air rifle group and second in individuals this year. He ranked second in the domestic competition. The world ranking is 34th.
Meanwhile, Park Ha-joon, who collaborated with Ban Ki-hyun for silver in the rifle mixed event on the 27th, failed to advance to the final with 629.2 points and 13th place.
