Jurgen Klinsmann is a columnist for the British popular newspaper The Sun who is evaluating Euro 2024.
He wrote a column for The Sun on the 8th (Korea time). He praised Southgate.
He wrote in this article that director Southgate took the blame. Some fans slammed him but said he would have admired Southgate's behaviour with a place in England's semi-finals.
First of all, he doesn't deserve this evaluation. Southgate made it to the semi-finals. On the other hand, Klinsmann was the worst Korean head coach. They lost to Jordan in the semifinals of the Asian Cup.
He even avoided Son Heung-min and Lee Kang-in's 'table ball gate', which came out just before. It was a full responsibility as a coach, but after being replaced by the head coach of the Korean national team, he self-evaluated that the cause of the elimination of the semifinals was the division of key players (Son Heung-min and Lee Kang-in).
Rather, he stressed that the cause of the elimination of the semifinals does not lie with the head coach.
He had already criticised Southgate just before the semi-final. It was an abstract reference. It emphasized the introduction of Plan B of the English Formation, which is claimed by all local media in the UK. He also emphasized the need for change as a head coach.
Moreover, a defeat in the quarterfinals is unacceptable. You have to try something different.
In fact, he watched South Korea's elimination from the semifinals. The preparations were not thorough. The tactics were simple, and throughout his tenure, the negligence of work, lack of preparation, and lack of supervisory capacity, represented by 'remote video conferencing', were revealed.
Son Heung-min, Lee Kang-in, and Kim Min-jae played soccer 'Please do it.'"
He was the main culprit behind the shock elimination of the semifinals of the Korean Asian Cup due to frequent overseas trips and radio techniques. Then, he went straight back to the United States and sent a 'four-dimensional smile' in front of angry fans.
