Best Youth Competition in Korea '2024 GROUND.NK League Youth Championship' opens
The K-League Youth Championship, which will be held in midsummer, will kick off on the 12th.

The K-League Youth Championship is a competition in which all youth clubs under all K-League clubs participate. It started in 2015 and marks its 10th anniversary this year. The K-League Youth Championship has produced numerous K-League prospects. Jung Ho-yeon (Gwangju), who won the K League 1 Young Player Award last year, and Yang Min-hyuk (Gangwon) and Park Seung-soo (Suwon), high school stars who appeared like comets this season, are all from this tournament.

The K-League U18&17 Championship, a high school tournament, will be held in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, for a total of 13 days from the 13th to the 25th. The 18-year-old tournament, which will involve 25 teams, will be divided into seven groups to play the round of 16 tournaments through the group stage, and the champions will be divided into the final match at Cheonan Football Center at 7 p.m. on the 25th.

A total of 25 teams will participate in the U17 Championship, a lower-grade tournament, with 24 K-League teams and J1 League invitation team Cerezo Osaka. Seven groups will play the group stage, go through the quarterfinals tournament, and play the final match at Cheonan Football Center at 7 p.m. on the 24th.

Starting in 2022, the U18 Championship will have a golden patch on the previous year's winning team uniforms. Therefore, Suwon U18, the winner of last year's championship, will participate in this competition with a golden patch on its chest.

The K-League U15&14 Championship, a secondary competition, will take place in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, from Aug. 11-23. The 15-year-old tournament, which will involve 25 teams, will be divided into seven groups, will play the round of 16 tournaments after the group stage, and the final match will be held at Cheonan Football Center at 7 p.m. on August 23. A total of 23 teams will participate in the U14 tournament for the lower grades to play the quarterfinals through the group stage, and the final will be held at Cheonan Football Center at 7 p.m. on August 22.

The high and middle school tournaments will be broadcast live from the tournament on the official K League Youth YouTube channel, and the final will also be broadcast live on TV on Sky Sports Channel.

Finally, the K-League U12&11 Championship, an elementary school tournament, will be held in Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do for seven days from the 12th to the 18th. A total of 25 teams participated in the U12 tournament and a total of 23 teams participated in the U11 tournament to play the group stage, and there is no separate tournament.

Sports tech startup QMIT will participate in the elementary school competition for the second consecutive year. QMIT will operate on-site booths for two days from the 13th to the 14th and hold various events and experience events.

The K League Youth Championship has established itself as the best youth competition in Korea by making various attempts to improve the skills of youth players. This year, high-quality competition operations will continue to be conducted in consideration of the team, including providing video analysis data for all games, providing physical data using EPTS, holding night games, and conducting cooling brakes.

In the K League Youth Championship, Nexon, which serves EASPORTS™ FC Online in Korea, will be the title sponsor of the tournament for the third consecutive year. The Korea Professional Football Federation and Nexon jointly launched the K-League Youth Soccer Support Project 'GROUND.N' in January 2022 and have been conducting various activities such as the Championship and Stove League.
