Fifteen games were played on the last day of June local time. In the American League (AL), the Eastern Baltimore Orioles, the Central Cleveland Guardians, and the Western Seattle Mariners are ranked first in each district. Cleveland and Seattle remain stable first, while Baltimore is ahead of the second-place New York Yankees in winning percentage without a ride in the East.
The National League (NL) maintains an overwhelming district lead with all three teams: the Eastern Philadelphia Phillies, the Central Milwaukee Brewers, and the Western Los Angeles Dodgers. Unless something unexpected happens, three teams are likely to win the district championship and go to the postseason.
According to the probability of winning the district of these six teams, Baltimore 40.3%, Cleveland 60.0%, Seattle 60.1%, Philadelphia 81.4%, Milwaukee 78.8%, and Dodgers 92.4%. In the case of the AL East, it is interesting to note that the Yankees are 58.9%, which is higher than Baltimore. In other words, the AL East championship competition is the biggest concern since July.
Let's move our eyes to the individual title. Attention is bound to be drawn to the moves of superstars in both leagues, which do not require additional explanations. Yankees center fielder Aaron Judge and Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani. The two players spent the month of June side by side as if they had made a promise.

Ohtani batted .293 with 12 home runs, 24 RBIs, 26 runs scored, an on-base percentage of .413, a slugging percentage of .697 and an OPS of 1.110 in 26 games in June. In the NL, he ranks first in home runs, RBIs, second in slugging percentage, and third in OPS. It's hard to be sure of an NL player in June as much as Judge. Philadelphia's Bryce Harper ranked first in slugging percentage (0.714) and OPS (1.166) in June. However, Harper injured his left hamstring on the 29th of last month and is on the injured list.
Ohtani has not yet been named the player of the month 'Player of the Month', and 'Player of the Month'Player of the June' should also wait and see the results. However, like Judge, there seems to be no disagreement that he is the leading NL MVP this season.
As of this day, it is leading the seven categories of "Standard and Expanded stats." He controlled runs (67), batting average (0.316), home runs (26), slugging percentage (0.635), OPS (1.034), slugging (49), and Ruta (205). With 62 RBIs, it is third behind Philadelphia's Alec Bohm (68) and Atlanta Braves' Marcel Ojuna (67), who is second, and it is a good chance to catch up.
Judge's season performance is not limited to the AL. He is leading the integration of the two leagues in six categories: home run (31), RBI (82), slugging percentage (0.708), OPS (1.144), slugging (55), and Ruta (213). The batting average (0.316) trails Los Angeles Angels Luis Renjipo (0.317) by one stroke.

The last time in the history of both leagues that a combined triple crown came out of the batting was in 1933. That year, the AL Philadelphia Athletics Jimmy Fox and NL Philadelphia Phillies Chuck Klein each achieved the league triple crown. However, Fox was named AL MVP, but Klein finished second to New York Giants ace pitcher Carl Hubbell in the NL MVP vote.
If Judge and Ohtani win the triple crown side by side this season, the MVP can be considered Tanon Dangsang.
The two players have lost MVP in the AL over the past three years. Ohtani was unanimously named AL MVP twice in 2021 and 2023, and Judge hit a record 62 home runs in an AL season in 2022 and got his first career MVP. It is widely known that Ohtani expressed deep regret over the phone with then coach Phil Nevin in the offseason when Judge took the MVP even after filling all the regular innings and regular at-bats for the first time in the history of 2022.
