Chonnam National University of Science (President Lee Eun-cheol) will hold the 9th Chonnam National University of Science Bae Amateur e-Sports Competition as part of the "2024 E-Sports Professional Training Project".

Hosted by Chonnam National University of Science and organized by Chonnam National University's e-sports department, and co-sponsored by the Korea Creative Content Agency, Korea Soft and Robot Factory, the competition will be held as an FPS game 'Valorant'. According to Chonnam National University of Science, the competition aims to cultivate professionals in the field of e-sports and is designed to provide students with practical educational and practical opportunities.

It will start on July 1 and run for about two months until September 7, and the final will be held at the e-Sports Arena lab of Chonnam National University of Science in Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do. BenQ monitors and laser mice (v3 PRO) worth a total of 6 million won will be given as injuries.

Participation applications will be held on the e-sports hub site developed by Chonnam National University of Science's e-sports department. Built with the aim of establishing an e-sports online education environment, the site will also be used as a practice space for adults and students with disabilities in the future. The school said it will also provide educational environments such as finding and producing its own contents, expanding leaders' classes and securing data by deriving VOD for economic analysis, aspiring professional gamers, running and planning competitions, e-sports media contents, and e-sports game analysis as a practical training center for students.

Lee Yoo-chan, head of the department of e-sports at Chonnam National University of Science, said "E-Sports Hub" will be used to enable competition operation start-up education as a practical training center for students with disabilities and to expand offline accessibility online."

Chonnam National University of Science also set the goal of strengthening practical training for e-sports professionals through this competition. Students will receive support to achieve results in practical education and job learning, and it is expected that through the operation of the competition, students will have the opportunity to experience e-sports promotion jobs and strengthen their practical capabilities. In addition, Chonnam National University of Science emphasized that it will promote the importance and value of e-sports education and contribute to increasing the employment rate of students through cooperation with industries.
