According to the Korea Football Association on the 21st, Hong reportedly had a meeting with Kim Min-jae in Munich, Germany, on the afternoon of the 20th local time. Hong met Son Heung-min 'captain' in London on the 19th and held a meeting for about an hour. Coach Hong, who was with Son Heung-min during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, reunited with the national team for the first time in 10 years. Son Heung-min, who was the youngest at the time, is playing as the core and longest-serving captain of the national team. Hong reportedly had an honest conversation with Son Heung-min, who serves as the spiritual pillar of the Taegeuk Warriors, about the current situation of the national team.
Coach Hong, who met Son Heung-min, moved to Munich, Germany, and met Kim Min-jae late in the afternoon. It's the first meeting. Coach Hong, a former defender, has praised the skills of Kim Min-jae, who is in the same position as him, several times. Hong also had a conversation with Kim Min-jae. Coach Hong will then move to Mainz from Munich on the 21st local time to continue his meeting with Lee Jae-sung (Mainz).
Coach Hong left for Madrid, Spain, via Incheon International Airport on the 15th. He said "I decided that it would be better for foreign coaches to listen to their philosophy and vision and understanding of Korean soccer through meetings." Coach Hong cited division of labor and specialization as ways to operate the national team in the future. He said, `The core of modern football is the division of labor. It is my responsibility to subdivide the coaching staff and bring out and maximize expertise. It is as important as how to use it. Until now, foreign coaches who came to Korea have not been able to use them efficiently. We will coordinate our relationship with Korean coaches and play a good role in the team."

Coach Hong, who selected the first list based on information received through various routes, including KFA, focused his efforts on finding the right person while conducting interviews with candidates for tactical and physical coaches for three days from the 16th to the 18th.
According to the Korea Football Association, it has not been confirmed yet, but Hong plans to move to Serbia and meet with Hwang In-beom, who plays for Tsurvena or Zvezda, if the schedule permits. Hong will return to Korea next week to confirm not only foreigners but also domestic coaching staff, and will explain the composition of the coaching staff at an official press conference at the end of this month.
