'Do you run with a shot?' Believing Kane's Bad Condition, Controversy Over Dutch Semi-Final Selection
"It wouldn't be surprising if Harry Kane ran after getting a shot."

Gary Neville made the remarks regarding concerns about the physical condition of England striker Harry Kane (Bayern Munich) ahead of the Euro 2024 semi-final between England and the Netherlands.

Kane scored the first goal during the 1-1 draw with Denmark and scored two goals, including an extended round-of-16 tie against Slovakia, but was criticized by fans for his poor performance throughout the tournament.

Neville speculated that English fans are not seeing their usual Harry Kane at Euro 2024, and that he seems to be playing with injections to manage his injuries in the Bundesliga at the end of last season.

However, Neville also made it clear that doubting Kane's start in the Euro 2024 semifinals against the Netherlands would be a `waste of time.'

In an overlap newsletter on the 10th (Korea time), Neville said, `We can say this and that about Harry Kane, but we know it's all a waste of time and it's just words.'"Coach Gareth Southgate will never leave him out. Neither will the country. We need a very brave coach to do that."

"I wouldn't be surprised at all if I found out that Kane had been injected and played after this tournament was over.'"He can't move flexibly. It's not the usual Harry Kane" he gave his opinion. "We've seen the captain, the leader, the biggest person, the best player we expect is not in top form before. Wayne Rooney did in 2016 and David Beckham did in 2006. There are tensions and dilemmas between players who are obviously the best players, but whose performance is not comparable to that."

`Southgate would have had a situation where he would have used another player instead of Harry Kane, but Harry Kane will start in the semifinals against the Netherlands. England will not go to the stadium without Kane, he said, adding that he was confident of Kane's start.

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright also expressed concern about Kane's condition. "If you look at Kane's play in the tournament so far, you can't help but say something is wrong." gave an opinion.

"Kane is neither sharp nor in the box. Now we know Ivan Toney can get to that level and get a penalty. We need a player who goes high up to that position, connects and puts the defender in trouble"I can't wait for Kane to finish, and at some point, I may not have enough time in that respect."

England's semifinal opponent, Netherlands, ranked third in Group D after Austria and France, reached the round of 16 after a long struggle, beating Romania and Turkiye to advance to the semifinals. The winner of the semifinals between England and the Netherlands, which will be held at 4 a.m. on the 11th, will face Spain, which beat France 2-1 in another semifinal on the 10th, in the final at 4 a.m. on the 15th.
