Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Yoo In-chon met with previous Olympic medalists ahead of the Paris Olympics to discuss current issues and development plans.

At the Seoul Museum of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 22nd, Minister Yoo talked extensively with medalists in various sports, including table tennis coach Yoo Nam-kyu, who has devoted himself as a leader after retirement, weightlifting coach Lee Bae-young, archery coach Park Sung-hyun, sports administrator Jang Lira, taekwondo Jung Jae-eun, bobsledder Kim Dong-hyun, active KADA member Kim Eun-jung, and judo information-kyung.

In particular, the meeting focused on the hardships and improvements felt by Olympic medalists who rose to the top of the world in each event and gained various experiences at the forefront of Korean sports.

Participants in the meeting expressed the consensus that school sports are important to foster elite sports, and that interest and balance in unpopular sports are needed. He also emphasized the need to foster dream tree athletes, expand sports infrastructure (infrastructure), and support retired athletes.
