Turkiye won the Euro 2024 round of 16 against Austria 2-1 in Leipzig, Germany, on the afternoon of the 2nd (local time).
The Turkiye featured Güller, Kökchü, Yildiz, Yilmaz, Eyhan, Wickseki, Demiral, Bardacchi, Cardiolu, Müldir and Guinnock. Austria was the type 4-2-3-1. Arnautovic, Javicher, Baumgartner, Schüert, Reimer, Zeibald, Mwenet, Rienhardt, Danso, Poche, and Pentz competed.
Turkiye scored the first goal 57 seconds into the game. In a corner kick situation, the ball flowed out in front of the gate. Demiral took the lead by finishing it with a left-footed shot.
