Jeonbuk Hyundai, which is recruiting the greatest number of times, has filled 'real last puzzle' (really last). Jeju center back Yeon Je-woon (30), who wanted Jeonbuk coach Kim Doo-hyun to recruit him, is about to enter Jeonju Castle.

An official from the transfer market said on the 31st, the deadline of the K-League summer transfer market "Jeonbuk finally succeeded in recruiting Yeon Je-woon, who has been interested in the transfer market for a long time this summer." I understand that the transfer was reached dramatically yesterday (30th)." The transfer market will officially close at 6 p.m. on the 31st.

According to the official, the deal was reached with 'Yeon Je-woon ↔ Park Joo-young + Oh Jae-hyuk + Cash'. Yeon Je-woon will head to Jeonbuk, Jeonbuk's promising striker Park Joo-young will go on loan to Jeju (including a complete transfer option), and midfielder Oh Jae-hyuk, who is currently on loan from Seongnam, will join Jeju after the season. A lot of cash was added.

This is a glimpse of how much coach Kim Doo-hyun wanted Yeon Je-woon. Coach Kim, who took the helm of the team in place of former coach Dan Petrescu, who was dismissed due to poor performance in May, was not satisfied with the reinforcement of players across all positions and wanted to recruit a center back by the end of the transfer market. Although there are many resources such as Hong Jung-ho, Jung Tae-wook, Lee Jae-ik, Gu Ja-yong, Petrasek, and Kim Ha-joon, they judged that they lack centerback resources with both build-up and stable defense capabilities.

Yeon Je-woon was the first pick. Coach Kim had a relationship with Yeon Je-woon, a rookie at the time, in Seongnam in his last year. At that time, Yeon Je-woon watched his skills closely with his own eyes. Yeon Je-woon built a new nest in Jeju last year after playing in Seongnam for six years from 2016 to 2022. Coach Kim retired from active duty in 2019 and went on to pursue a leadership career through coaching in Suwon, Jeonbuk, and Chengdu. Coach Kim reached out to his former teammate and proven center back Yeon Je-woon at a time when Jeonbuk was in 11th place and desperately needed a rebound.

Yeon Je-woon has started 10 consecutive games since June, taking the lead in line with Jeju center backs such as Lim Chae-min and Song Joo-hoon since the end of May. He was able to shake off the back injury that had plagued him for a long time. On the 10th, coach Kim also started against Jeju, where he won his debut victory. Veteran center back Yeon Je-woon, who played 189 games (six goals) including K League 1 and K League 2, will play in Jeonbuk's uniform in the future if no abnormal findings are found in the medical test. Hong Jung-ho was injured in the last match against Gangwon and is likely to start from the first game in August.

Yeon Je-woon is expected to become the ninth recruit recruited by Jeonbuk this summer.Jeonbuk previously upgraded its power across all positions by recruiting defensive midfielder Han Kook-young, central midfielder Yoo Je-ho, winger Jeon Jin-woo, playmaker Andrigo, center back Kim Ha-joon and all-weather striker Lee Seung-woo. Including midfielder Kim Jin-kyu and goalkeeper Kim Joon-hong, who were discharged from the military on the 15th, nine players were 'inflow' at once. It is a reconstruction that is at the level of metaplastic degeneration.

As Yeon Je-woon joined, traffic naturally occurred in Jeonbuk's existing center back. Tall center back Jung Tae-wook, who lost his position due to poor performance this season and club incidents, is scheduled to leave for Western Sydney, Australia. Jung Tae-wook played in 14 league games for Jeonbuk this season.

Park Chu-young, who has the same name as former national team superstar Park Chu-young, is a striker subject to the 22-year-old rule and is said to have fast feet despite his tall height of 1m86. He played in three games for Jeonbuk this season. Oh Jae-hyuk, a Pohang Youth native, made his professional debut in Bucheon in 2021 and moved to Jeonbuk in 2023. He left for Seongnam earlier this year to gain experience, but lost his early schedule due to an unexpected long-term injury. He returned at the end of June and is playing as a built-in midfielder.

Jeonbuk, which has been mired in an all-time slump, is in 11th place, the relegation playoff zone, with 5 wins, 8 draws, 12 losses and 23 points as of the 25th round. Jeju is tapping into the Final A Group with 10 wins, 2 draws and 13 losses and 32 points.
