KBO released the list of substitute players for the All-Star Game on the 3rd.
In place of Son Ho-young (Lotte), Guillermo Herredia (SSG), Jung Hae-young and Lee Woo-sung (KIA), Park Ji-hwan (SSG), Hwang Sung-bin (Lotte), Jang Hyun-sik (Kium) and Song Sung-moon (Kium) will play in the All-Star Game.
According to Article 53 (1) of the KBO League Regulations, it is stipulated that players selected for the Best 12 must play as starters, and if they are unable to play due to injury, the coach will select the second-highest score player in that position as a substitute.
Jung Hae-young, who was ranked first in fan voting, will not be able to play in the All-Star Game after all. Jung received the most votes among all-star candidates, receiving 1,396,077 in fan voting.
Jung Hae-young, who has 2 wins, 2 losses, 21 saves and a 2.25 ERA in 32 games this season, was found to have right shoulder rotator cuff inflammation at the end of last month. In place of Jung Hae-young, Joo Hyun-sang (Hanwha) should be selected as a substitute for the best 12 player in the second place in the middle pitcher category. Hwang Sung-bin spent the 'career high' season batting .356 with four homers and 32 steals in 63 games this season. He was loved by fans while playing passionate and popping.
With Lee Woo-sung out, Austin Dean (LG), who was a coach-recommended player, became Best12, and Song Sung-moon (Kium) became a substitute for a coach-recommended player.
