The starting pitchers pitched well side by side. Aaron Wilkerson took the mound for Lotte. Wilkerson came down the mound in six innings with eight hits, no four outs, five strikeouts and two runs. Doosan starter Choi Joon-ho allowed one hit, four outs, two strikeouts, and five strikeouts in six innings. Choi Joon-ho recorded Doosan's first quality start in the second half (more than 6 innings and less than 3 earned runs).

The starting pitcher's salty pitching continued, leading to a point game.

Doosan scored the first run in the top of the fourth inning. After one out, Yang Seok-hwan hit a hit, and Kang Seung-ho's infield hit came out. Later, Kim Ki-yeon's walk-through and Jeon Min-jae's two-run timely hit took a 2-0 lead.

Lotte's silence was broken after Choi Joon-ho went down. Following Choi Joon-ho in the bottom of the seventh inning, Lee Byung-hun took the mound. Reyes' double and Jeon Jun-woo's double came out. With one out and third base, Lotte gave up a pinch hitter Jeong Hoon, and Doosan put up Hong Gun-hee. As Jung Hoon hit a ground ball to the second base, third baseman Reyes homered.

Lotte's pinch-hit operation succeeded in the bottom of the eighth inning. After two outs, Hwang Sung-bin hit a hit. Lotte gave up Yoon Dong-hee in Na Seung-yeop's at-bat, and Doosan put in closer Kim Taek-yeon early. With runners on second base with foil, Yoon Dong-hee hit Kim Taek-yeon's slider to make a hit to the right-center. Hwang Sung-bin came home and tied the game 2-2.

In the top of the ninth inning, Doosan got on base with Yang Eui-ji's infield hit after one out. Lee Yoo-chan stepped up as a pinch runner, and Cho Soo-haeng launched a surprise bunt. In the process, Lotte's defense error came out, and runners were on the first and third bases. Cho Sang-soo stole the second base and created chances for the second and third base, but Yang Seok-hwan's ground ball caught the third baseman at home, and Kang Seung-ho struck out.

In the end, the game went to extra time. In the top of the 10th inning of extra time, Doosan had a chance with two outs and runners on the second and third bases with Jeon Min-jae's double, Jung Soo-bin's walk, and Huh Kyung-min's walk. Ramos intentionally went out on four pitches, but pinch-hitter Jeon Da-min struck out and failed to score.

Lotte, who had a chance to finish, succeeded in ending the game, and leadoff hitter Park Seung-wook drew a walk in the bottom of the 10th inning. After two outs, rookie Lee Ho-joon made his first career on-base with a walk, and became a chance for runners on the first and second bases. Ko Seung-min, who took the batter's box, drew a walk again, and Reyes targeted the changed pitcher Kim Myung-shin and Lotte won with a walk-off home run.
