Samsung easily scored in the top of the fifth inning when Balazovic's control was shaken. Leading hitter Yoon Jung-bin drew a walk, and Ryu Ji-hyuk and Jeon Byung-woo later drew a walk to load the bases. Doosan lowered Balazovic and raised Lee Kyo-hoon, but it was 1-1 with a walk after selecting a fielder.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Doosan took a chance on the first and third bases with hits by Jeon Min-jae and Jeon Min-jae after one out, and then took the lead 2-1 again with Cho Soo-haeng's bunt hit.

Samsung turned the game around in the top of the seventh inning. Doosan pushed ahead with Lee Kyunghoon. Ryu Ji-hyuk hit a hit, and Doosan changed its pitcher to Lee Young-ha. Following Ahn Ju-hyung's sacrifice bunt, Lee Jae-hyun's timely double made it 2-2. Later, Koo Ja-wook was sent out to four pitches on purpose, but the first slider thrown to Kang Min-ho flocked to the center, making it a three-run home run. Kang Min-ho's eighth homer of the season. Samsung added a must-win team to seal the victory. After starter Lee Seung-hyun went down, right-hander bullpen Lee Seung-hyun came up and allowed no runs in the first ⅓. Kim Jae-yoon and Oh Seung-hwan then came up one after another and secured one scoreless inning each to protect the victory.
Following Balazovic, Doosan was followed by Lee Kyo-hoon (1 run in 1 ⅓ inning), Lee Young-ha (3 runs in 1 ⅔ inning), Kim Yoo-sung (1 ⅓ inning scoreless), and Park Jung-soo (1 run in 1 inning).
