LA Dodgers Shohei Ohtani has reached the 200th home run mark in the Major League.

Ohtani completely escaped his slump at the end of the first half with two hits, two RBIs, three runs and two walks in four at-bats, including a home run, in an away game against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park on the 14th (Korea time).

However, the Dodgers suffered a shocking 9-11 upset after the bullpen allowed five runs in the bottom of the ninth inning with a 9-4 lead and a walk-off home run by Detroit Gio Urshela in the bottom of the 10th inning of overtime.

Ohtani, who played as the designated hitter for the leadoff, hit a triple in the top of the first inning and scored. He pulled Detroit starter Kaider Montero's 86.8-mile changeup and hit a ball rolling into the foul area on the right line before running to third base. He then homered and scored the first run when Freddie Freeman grounded out to shortstop with no outs and runners on the first and third bases with Teoscar Hernandez's walk.

In the third inning, trailing 1-2, he struck out swinging in his second at-bat with no outs and runners on second base. On a ball count of 2B2S, he fumbled his bat to Montero's fifth-pitch 79.7 mile knuckle curve.

Ohtani's home run was hit in his third at-bat. Ohtani, who was the leadoff hitter in the fifth inning when the score was 2-2, pulled Montero's changeup in the middle of his second pitch of 85.5 miles from one ball and connected it with a solo shot that went well over the inside of the right foul pole. The 29th arch of the season, with a launch angle of 24 degrees, a batting speed of 107.8 miles and a flying distance of 373 feet.

It is the first time in a week and six games that Ohtani has hit a home run since the game against the Milwaukee Brewers on the 7th. With this, Ohtani has achieved a total of 200 home runs in seven seasons, 809 games, and 3294 at-bats since his Major League debut in 2018. He is the first Japanese player and the second Asian batter after Choo Shin-soo (218 home runs). If he adds 19 homers for the rest of the season, he will surpass Choo Shin-soo.

Ohtani made his debut home run from Cleveland Indians Josh Tomlin on April 4, 2018, when he joined the Los Angeles Angels, and on May 15, 2022, he reached the 100-homer mark against the Oakland Athletics Adam Oler.

In the top of the sixth inning, when the fierce battle continued, Ohtani hit an infield ground ball in a scoring chance to add an RBI. Leading Cavan Biggio's walk, Austin Barnes' left-handed hit to first and third base. Ohtani then hit a ground ball to second base to bring Vizio home.

Ohtani was the leadoff hitter in the eighth inning with an 8-4 lead, walked, and stole second base at Hernandez's at-bat. Hernandez's left-handed hit then homered on third base and Freeman's sacrifice fly to widen the gap to 9-4. In the 10th inning, he got four pitches on purpose.

With this, Ohtani recorded a batting average of 0.314 (115 hits in 366 at-bats), 29 homers, 69 RBIs, 75 runs, 23 steals, a on-base percentage of 0.400, a slugging percentage of 0.637, an OPS of 1.037, 56 hits, and 233 hits. He is the leader in seven categories, including batting average, scoring, home run, slugging percentage, OPS, Ruta, and slugging in the National League.

In particular, as Milwaukee Brewers Christian Yelich, who was leading in the batting average category, missed the home game against the Washington Nationals on the day for a break, Ohtani rose to first place again.

Ohtani also showed off all his skills as a `multi player' by hitting home runs, triples, walks, and stolen bases. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said "He must be an incredible player. I'm in the process of stealing and hitting home runs and having a great season. The fact that he hit 200 home runs so fast in the Major League means that he's making sure he manages his injuries."Do you count the milestone that fast?S is amazing, and so is that he even hit a triple. Unfortunately, we didn't win and couldn't congratulate him on his 200 home run performance" he said.

The Dodgers, who had 48 wins and no losses in the game they led since the ninth inning of this season, were shocked by the loss. In particular, Ohtani's intentional four pitches and Hernandez's four pitches in the 10th inning of extra time gave him a chance to load the bases with one out, but it was painful that Freeman failed to score as he hit a double play.

In the bottom of the 10th inning, right-hander Johan Ramirez threw an 81-mile sweeper into the middle of Urshela and was hit with a walk-off cannon that crossed the left-center fence. Earlier, in the bottom of the ninth inning, Ricky Panasco took the mound and allowed Matt Bearing to double to the left with no outs and runners on the first and third bases, followed by Evan Phillips' timely hit to Carson Kelly with two outs and a tiebreaking solo home run to Colt Keith in the middle.
