Jamsil Stadium, which was canceled the previous day due to sudden heavy rain before the game, was occasionally cloudy with clear skies during the day on the 27th. Naturally, the ground was ready for LG players' training. However, after 2 p.m., suddenly heavy rain began to fall.
A batting cage was installed, and there was a net to throw batting balls on the mound side. It was one of the tranquil daily lives.
But at 2 p.m., the raindrops began to fall. Although there were some dark clouds in the sky, it did not fill the sky, and there was a white cloud on the side of Samseong-dong, so it was not likely to rain heavily. Just as I thought for a moment that there might be a shower, heavy rain began to fall.
The problem is that there was no tarpaulin on the ground at all because they did not think it was raining and prepared for normal training. There was a tarp only on the mound.
In just five minutes, Jamsil Stadium's infield became a sea of water. It only opened the tarpaulin on the groove. It's too late to put a tarp on the infield ground. After that, the heavy rain subsided, but the rain continued and stopped at around 2:20 p.m. However, as it began to rain little by little again, LG players came out to the outfield and began to warm up.
However, at around 3:10 p.m., there was heavy rain again. This time, heavy rain continued for about 20 minutes longer than before. Again, the ground became a sea of water.
After that, the rain stopped, and the sun came back. Radar footage showed the possibility of local heavy rain, but once the sun was out, we had to prepare for the game, and the stadium management team took a sponge and started pumping water from the water hole on the ground.
But it was also suspended a short time later. Another downpour at around 4:50 p.m.
Eventually, the decision to cancel was made at 5:10 p.m. Cancelled matches will be arranged later.
