The San Diego Padres won a dramatic come-from-behind victory.

San Diego won the home game against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Petco Park on the 31st (Korean time) thanks to Donovan Solano's walk-off hit in the bottom of the 10th inning.

As a result, San Diego recorded 58 wins and 51 losses and secured second place in the NL West, reducing its gap with the leading Dodgers to 5.5 games. In the wild card, he remained in third place.

Dodgers starter Glasnow gave up six hits and one walk in seven innings, allowing eight strikeouts and three runs, but failed to secure the victory due to bullpen instability. 8-6 in the season, 3.51 ERA.

Dodgers leadoff Shohei Ohtani walked in the first inning and went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in four at-bats. San Diego's Kim Ha-sung also bowed his head with no hits in four at-bats and two strikeouts.

Kim Ha-sung, who played as the eighth shortstop, hit a ground ball to the third base as the leadoff hitter in the third inning, trailing 1-5, struck out swinging in the fifth inning, and struck out swinging in the seventh inning. In the ninth inning, he grounded out to third base. Kim Ha-sung's batting average fell to 0.230.

The Dodgers took the lead by scoring five runs in offense in the top of the first inning.

Ohtani, the leader, stole second base after drawing a walk and took the lead in the big inning. Will Smith's heavy hit to first and third base with no outs. The Dodgers, who scored the first run with Gavin Lux' sacrifice fly to center field, then added two runs with Andy Parz hitting a heavy hit with two outs and runners on the second and third bases, and Kevon Vizio's two-run home run made a 5-0 run.

Vizio drew a knuckle curve in the middle of San Diego starter Matt Waldron with a ball count of 2B2S and connected it to an arch that hit the right foul pole. The distance was only 332 meters.

But San Diego's pursuit soon began. In the bottom of the second inning, leader Manny Machado hit a 96-mile sinker that flew into the middle of Glasnow and crossed the middle fence to make up for a point. In the third inning, Jurickson Profar's right-handed hit and Jake Cronenworth's right double scored two runs to follow 3-5.

Since then, the two teams have exchanged fierce battles, but they have rarely scored additional points.

In the sixth inning, with two outs and runners on the first and second bases, Kike Hernandez stepped down with a fly ball to center field, and in the bottom of the sixth inning, Jackson Merrill hit a fly ball to the second base with two outs and runners on the first and second bases. In particular, the Dodgers failed to continue the flow in the top of the seventh inning with two outs and pinch hitter Austin Barnes hitting a ground ball to the second base.

Ohtani has been sluggish since scoring in the first inning. In particular, he struck out swinging on an outside slider in the fifth inning against San Diego Japanese pitcher Yuki Matsui. It was his first strikeout in his fourth showdown with Matsui, who entered the big league this year. In the previous three matches, he showed strength by hitting two doubles from three at-bats.

Ohtani also expressed strong dissatisfaction with the center fielder after striking out a rookie in his last at-bat after one out in the ninth inning with a 5-3 lead. In the full count, the low 83.3 mile splitter on the sixth pitch thrown by the opponent's right-hander Jeremiah Estrada stopped turning to first base and began to appeal to Dan Iasonya.

Ohtani, who strongly complained by making a gesture with his right hand that the ball was low, shook his head as he entered the dugout. Local broadcasting screens and MLB.com pitching graphics also showed a low ball that fell below the strike zone.

The Dodgers' bad luck appeared in the defense in the bottom of the ninth inning. Blake Trinen allowed a 5-5 tie after a series of solo home runs by Machado and Merrill.

The Dodgers couldn't score a single run at second base with no outs in the top of the 10th inning. San Diego loaded the bases with one out and second base in the bottom of the 10th inning, and Solano hit a walk-off hit to determine the game.
