Jeong Kwan-jang Red Sparks Volleyball Team will participate in the '2024 Shanghai Volleyball Future Stars Championship' competition in Shanghai, China.

The competition, which will be held for the first time this year, will be co-hosted by China's 'Shanghai Sports Bureau' and 'Shanghai Volleyball Association' and will be held at the Zhengda Gym at Fudan University in Shanghai for six days from July 22-27.

Seven countries, including South Korea, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, Canada and France, will participate in the tournament, and China, the host country, will have two teams, including the Shanghai Youth Volleyball Team and the U17 Youth National Team, with a total of eight teams divided into two groups to play in a round-robin manner.



Four of the seven countries, China, Canada, France and Brazil, will have youth teams, and three countries, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam, will participate as special invitation teams, so there will be no age limit.

A total of 18 players can be registered for this competition, and 14 entries are available for the competition. Jeong Kwan-jang's volleyball team will be accompanied by all domestic players except Jung Ho-young, who is being sent to the national team, and the team's future resources such as Lee Ji-soo, Lee Ye-dam, Choi Hyo-seo, Kang Da-yeon and Shin Eun-ji will play the tournament.



Coach Chung Kwan-jang and Ko Hee-jin said, "This competition will be of great help to the team's promising players' hands-on experience. As it is a good opportunity to hold an international competition, I will use it as an opportunity to prepare for the upcoming season." expressed his determination.

Meanwhile, the Jeonggwanjang Volleyball Team will depart for China on the 18th (Thursday) to participate in the competition, and will also carry out various local marketing activities with the Jeonggwanjang Chinese Corporation located in Shanghai.
