0 effective number of games, 32% of ball possession. K League 'Leading Club' is a gloomy reality for Jeonbuk Hyundai.

Jeonbuk Hyundai, led by head coach Kim Doo-hyun, was completely defeated 0-4 in an away game against Gimcheon Sangmu at Gimcheon Stadium on the 14th. Jeonbuk (4 wins, 8 draws and 11 losses) ranked 11th and failed to escape the relegation zone.

Before the game, there was a stream of hope. Jeonbuk won the previous match 2-1 against Jeju United. He won the title in as many as nine games. It was also the first victory under head coach Kim. However, contrary to expectations, Jeonbuk was reeling greatly. From the beginning of the game, he couldn't breathe due to the opponent's strong pressure. In the end, he gave up a penalty to the opponent in the 30th minute of the first half and lost the first point. The crisis was not the end. In the 34th minute of the first half 'Captain'Park Jin-seop was sent off after receiving a red card. Jeonbuk, which was inferior in numbers, conceded three more goals in the second half alone. He bowed his head by giving up two goals in the second half of extra time alone. Jeonbuk lost 0-4 on the road.

After the game, coach Kim said, `It was actually a perfect match to get in the mood. But it didn't save. With the exit, he seems to have dragged the game hard. We needed to show more willingness and fighting power to fight, but it was not enough. I feel so much responsibility for the disappointing performance to the fans."

Jeonbuk dominated the K-League in the 2010s as the 'strongest'. After winning his first championship in 2009, he won nine championships by 2021. In particular, from 2017 to 2021, he achieved five consecutive wins of 'Full Story'. However, the 2020s began to falter. Ulsan HD's pursuit failed. He gave up the K-League throne in 2022. At least, he gained pride by winning the Korea Football Association Cup (currently the Korea Cup). In 2023, he finished the season with his first 'Official' in 10 years.

He has his pride firmly. Jeonbuk has pledged to restore its reputation by launching a storm of recruitment ahead of this season. The situation did not change easily. Jeonbuk has been reeling from its jagged performance since the beginning of the season. At one point, he was at the bottom of the K-League. In the end, Jeonbuk broke up with coach Dan Petrescu. Coach Kim took the helm after coach Park Won-jae's acting coach. But it still looks like time is needed. Jeonbuk is unable to find its former prowess. He seems to be in a hurry. Jeonbuk recorded five direct exits this season alone, including Park Jin-seop. Including the accumulation of warnings, there are a total of seven.

Director Kim said, `I think we need to be a little smarter. You should position yourself or make a gesture to your advantage, if not a rough foul. Isn't our location and response a little later than the opponent. Then it gets urgent, fouls get worse, and even the exit seems to come out. I think it is necessary to recognize and prepare for that."

The fans are not letting up their faith. Jeonbuk fans cheered for the players with their voices raised to the end despite the complete defeat. I gave the players a warm round of applause. Director Kim said, `I think he sang a cheer song with a message not to give up. The exit resulted in a bad game every time. We have no choice but to settle down again.' Thiago "The team is at the bottom, but I think the players need to cheer up a little more thanks to the fans who cheer for each game. I'm sorry and I feel sorry. I think the players will have to enlighten them more and stand in front of the fans in a better way."
